Chapter 660

The first name that flashed across Laura’s mind was Agnes.

The girl’s abrupt reappearance after four years was just too suspicious.

All was well for these four years, so why did everything go sideways as soon as she returned?

Laura pulled herself together.

Beatrice, too, seemed to have a few suspicions. She mumbled, It’s got to be that bitch, Agnes. She’s here for revenge. I sensed trouble the moment she crashed my birthday party. She’s definitely the one stirring the pot this time.”

Although not absolutely certain, Laura’s instincts were in line with Beatrice’s.

Agnes was indeed a prime suspect.

If it really was Agnes, they were in big trouble.

Because if Agnes had used the same method that led to Preston’s demise to cause Berlin’s accident, that meant Agnes was aware that Preston’s car accident was no mere coincidence.

But how could she know? It’s been four years since the incident.

A chill ran down Laura’s spine.

If Agnes had indeed returned to settle scores after learning the truth, they were in huge trouble.

But there were still a lot of loose ends.

Laura told Béatrice, “Try and probe Agnes, isn’t she in Willowbrook Town now? See how much she knows about what’s happening here. I don’t believe that she can pull all the strings.”

Beatrice had been meaning to confront Agnes anyway.

The thought of all this mess being related to Agnes made her wish Agnes would just disappear.

Ever since Agnes showed up, every day was filled with dread.

She was like a ticking bomb, ready to explode at any moment.

Beatrice felt like she was on the verge of a breakdown.

Unbeknownst to them, Agnes was watching everything behind the scenes.

Yes, Laura’s bedroom in the Thomas family home had been secretly fitted with a hidden camera.

This was one of the reasons why Agnes wanted to stay at the Thomas family home last time.

At this very moment, Agnes was sitting in front of her computer, watching the scene unfold.

She heard every single word of Berlin and Laura’s conversation.

Even though she had suspected it, hearing the truth about the incident four years ago still made her shudder.

Agnes clenched her fists. So, her father was indeed murdered by them.

They had conspired to kill him together

Agnes felt her blood boil.

How wicked could a person truly be?

Regardless of everything, her father and Laura had shared a bed for ten years, even had a child.

But in the end, her father was betrayed by the one closest to him

In the afternoon, Agnes contacted Beatrice and invited her to meet at Eden Nights.

When Beatrice arrived, she was visibly upset.

She stormed into the room, pointed her finger at Agnes and accused, “Did you plan all this, Agnes? What will it take for you to back off?”

Agnes looked completely innocent, “Beatrice, I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Don’t play dumb with me. Since you returned, my birthday party was ruined, and if it weren’t for Jared, I’d be a laughingstock. Now, my mother is

in trouble. Who else could it be but you, Agnes? What are you trying to do?”

Agnes smiled, feigning surprise. “Oh, has something happened to Laura?”

Beatrice was infuriated at Agnes‘ act but couldn’t vent it out.

Yet, doubt began to creep in.

Agnes didn’t seem to be lying. She was always stubborn and straightforward. If she knew something, she would have said it

Could it be that she really had no hand in this?

Beatrice was feeling unsure
