Berlin dragged Laura straight upstairs, into a room. 

Laura was utterly clueless about what was happening, but she could sense the engulfing rage from Berlin. 

Berlin had shoved Laura into the room, slamming the door shut with a bang. 

Then a slap flew across her face, “You bitch!” 

Laura, unprepared, was almost knocked to the ground by the slap, her ears ringing. 

Laura turned her head, “Berlin, what the hell has gotten into you?” 

Laura was absolutely clueless about the origin of Berlin’s anger. 

He had called her yesterday, said he was on a business trip in Japan. 

But Laura had known for a while that he had been back for two days. 

He’d been spending his nights at clubs and bars. 

But Berlin was always a playboy, with no shortage of women

Laura walked up to him, her hand on Berlin’s chest as if to calm him, “Berlin, what happened that made you so furious? We’ve always been in the same boat, sharing honor and disgrace. Tell me, what happened?” 

Berlin’s anger was still boiling. 

He grabbed Laura’s arm tightly, “Laura, you’re still playing dumb? You’ve been having an affair with Hammer, and now that it’s out in the open, you want to use the same method you used on Preston to get rid of me. You tampered with my car, hoping to stage an accident. But luckily, I’m not that easy to kill, Laura. Since I didn’t die, it’ll be you who does.” 

As he spoke, Berlin had already grabbed Laura’s throat, “You wicked woman, how dare you fooled me, and even tried to kill me. You want to take all my assets, don’t you? No wonder you’ve been so diligent in managing the business for me these years. You plan to make it all yours, huh? But Laura, I’m not Preston, and you can’t manipulate me that easily.” 

Laura hadn’t expected her affair with Hammer to be exposed. 

But what he said about her tampering with his car, she had never done that. 

But soon, she found herself gasping for air. 

Laura grabbed Berlin’s hand tightly, unable to speak, her face turning red, on the verge of suffocation. 

Fortunately, Beatrice passed by, rushed in, and pushed Berlin away.
