Her hands fell. “Hello Chavias.”

“Thank you.” He murmured. “Why did you help me?”

“You’ve helped me countless times!” She whispered with a frown. “You’ve been the best of friend. I wanted to ease your suffering.”

“Hers is worse.”

“She brought that on herself as you know full well. She didn’t have to come back here.”

“She did.” He sighed. “They can’t fight the evil crawling through their souls.”

Calisto grunted, staring down the cave hallway.

“Have you seen Raese?” He asked after a time.

“Yes.” She grew emotional as she always did at the mention of her lover.

“And?”

“He’s vowed to come for me.”

“Wonderful!” Chavias’ head bobbed in excitement for her.

“No.” She sobbed. “He doesn’t know where I am. He still doesn’t remember!”

“You will make him.” Chavias asserted with great conviction. “You’ll bring it all back to him.”

“How?”

“I don’t know. But I believe in the two of you.”

“I’m glad someone does!” She covered her mouth to restrain another sob. “Because I’m losing faith!”

“Don’t.” Chavias caught her arm in a vise grip and shook his head. “You own his heart. And we, Forever Knights, only have one,” He lifted a finger. “to give. Use it to bring him to you.”

“I don’t know how.” She cried brokenly.

“Calm down, Calisto.” He forced his voice soothing. “Use that lovely big brain of yours. You’ll think of something.”

She blew a sorrowful breath. “I feel like my heart is dying…”
