Chapter 78 

When Edith turned around, her heart was beating faster. 

Perhaps because of the steam from the hot water, or perhaps it was because she was dizzy from hunger, she felt that Uncle Carlos was so handsome. 

He leaned against the door frame and casually crossed his arms over his chest. Although he was only wearing a white bathrobe, it did not affect his noble aura at all. He seemed to be born noble that could always stand at the top of the food chain to look at people, as if he was the king of the world. Just his lazy posture could make people unable to take their off him. 

If she hadn’t known that he was her husband’s uncle, she would have been obsessed with him for a while.

Edith curled her lips. “How would I dare? I didn’t dare to order you around. After all, you’re my uncle!” 

“Now you know that I’m your uncle?” The man raised his eyebrows and said jokingly. He was mocking her for being so bold 

before. 

She pursed her lips in a huff, unwilling to reply him. 

She really couldn’t let him find fault with her. How could he still remember her fault? So narrow–minded was he. 

“If you need my help in the future, just tell me. Don’t bear everything by yourself. How do you know I won’t agree if you don’t try?” He softened his tone and reminded her. 

These words echoed in her ears and warmed her heart. 

This was the first time that a man had said such a thing to her: tell her to feel free to ask for help. 

She suddenly felt that Uncle Carlos was so considerate! 

So caring like a soothing antidote. 

However, before she developed a good feeling of him, he continued to say, “Even if I might really not agree,” 

“Uh… is he not satisfied with them? But with the capabilities Sarah and I had, these are all we can find. If he wanted better ones, he’d better pray to God for one then! It’s just a wife anyway, and she’s going to be his trophy wife. Does he have to be so serious about it?” 

Edith suddenly broke down and thought, “You might as well not say it!” 

Discouraged, she said angrily, “Hurry up and eat. The spaghetti is gonna stick together.” 

It was not the first time she had dinner with Carlos, but it was very quiet this time. There was no one else around, only two of them in the large living room. 

It was so quiet that the sound of forks hitting the plates seemed to be amplified. 

She couldn’t stand it, as she liked jollification. Even during a meal, she still wanted to have some chats. Now, she was having, her meal while looking for topics with her head tilted. Finally, she suddenly asked, “Uncle, what kind of woman do like…” 

As soon as she finished speaking, Carlos stopped and his attractive eyes fell on her.
