Abigail sat in the break room with the other members of the North American team, as per usual the television was flipped to CNN.

“The vaccination that the combined efforts of the North American, European, and Antarctic team have created is a success. After successful trials with the United States military as the test subject, the F.D.A. representative has reported that they will start recreating the vaccine immediately. This vaccination will hopefully give humanity the ability to fight back against the zombie infection that has swept the world and killed at this point 4.5 million people. However, the vaccine has been reported once again to not work for those who have already been infected or those with any preexisting medical condition such as Cancer, Tuberculosis, Polio, HPV, and Hepatitis B. Those who do have these conditions are advised to remain in safe areas until further notice”

The room remained silent before all eyes turned to Yumi.

“I got word from the President last night. The diseases mentioned are the ones that will not interact with the Z-vaccine as we have decided to call it” Yumi replied.

“So that’s it?” Abigail asked.

“The world just has to rebuild itself now. The human race will persevere” Dr. Kennedy answered.
