Summary
In the dark world of Zala, seventeen-year-old Luna has spent her life trapped in secrecy under her father's orders due to the unknown traitorous actions of her mother. But when Luna discovers she has a week before her likely demise in a sparring match against her siblings, she takes matters into her own hands and searches for a way to escape her deadly fate.
On the way, Luna meets Soren: her father’s new servant, who captivates her from the moment they lock eyes. The two work to help Luna escape the threat of the dungeons, and discover that Luna's maternal lineage makes her a key player in something much bigger than herself.
But the pair must evade her father's grasp in search of the dark history behind Luna's powers. If he discovers what they know, he will reveal his monstrous nature, and the truth may cost Luna and Soren their lives.
**PSA: This is a prequel to Spirit of Fire. While I recommend it purely for the references and foreshadowing, reading Spirit of Fire is not a pre-requisite for enjoying this story :)**
