Chapter 80

The small space outside the elevator was crowded with people, and the cameras were still flashing away as everyone’s jaw hung in stunned silence.

“You planned this!” Snapping back to his senses, Dorian grabbed Gisele’s wrist tightly.

He had underestimated her. Not only was she trying to make a cuckold out of him, but she also provoked him on purpose so that the media could capture intimate pictures of them. With this scandal, she could then use it against Sierra.

Opening her m*uth, Gisele wanted to explain herself. But when she saw how sure he was, her l*ps curled into a bitter smile instead.

As a person who could barely come up with a hundred dollars, what could she offer to the journalists to do something like this?

She kept away her self–pity and asked with a smirk, “So, are you giving them more reason to gossip by holding my hand so tightly and whispering into my ear?”

Immediately, Dorian tossed her hand aside and took out the disinfectant wet wipes that he always carried with him in his pocket before wiping his fingers.

Gisele couldn’t help but trace his movements with her eyes. He had pretty fingers, and she thought that should the Jeffersons go bankrupt one day, Dorian could be the top male model of the continent simply with his face, body, or even fingers.

“If

you don’t take care of them with a reasonable excuse, the herbal plantation project in negotiation with the Meyers-”

With a professional smile on her face, Gisele stepped forward in the elevator and nodded at everyone before he could finish speaking. “Thank you for your effort, everyone. This is only a rehearsal. As Ms. McMillan is busy, I have to stand in for her now. Please show me how the pictures look.”

“Well…” The journalist looked at one another hesitantly

Although Gisele appeared calm, she was in fact very nervous. She didn’t know if these journalists were Sierra’s doing or not, but if they weren’t, the saucy pictures and videos of her and Dorian locked in a k*ss would become viral on the Internet in less than a night.

In the pin–drop silence, the journalists looked at each other and handed Gisele the camera. Under the lens, the elevator door opened slowly and the image of them k*ssing appeared.

They looked like the perfect couple, added with the fact that the cameras were prepared beforehand, the entire scene was captured in a romantic angle.

Just looking at the videos and pictures could intrigue others into asking about their sweet love story. There was a little joy in Gisele’s heart, but it was overwhelmed by disappointment.

Alas, none of this was real.

“The pictures and videos are great, but some of the camera angles are bad. The people in these pictures look deformed. A person as perfect as Ms. McMillan cannot have a picture with flaws,” Gisele corrected

them like an expert.

The journalists stole a look at Dorian, who was standing with his back straight in the elevator. When he said nothing, they nodded and said, “Okay, we’ll adjust the angles now.”

“Great. Later, Mr. Jefferson and Ms. McMillan will come downstairs in this elevator again. Set up the cameras carefully. The pictures and videos must have a wow effect upon publishing so that people could see how amazing Ms. McMillan is. Do you get it?” Gisele advised sternly with a straight face.

While speaking, she fished out her cell phone and secretly took a picture of the photo. This was their only

picture together.

The journalists nodded in unison. “Got it. Thanks for the advice, Ms. Assistant.”

Keeping away her phone, Gisele returned their camera and turned to the elevator. “You may go up now. Just come down with Ms. McMillan using the positions earlier and there’ll be perfect pictures.”

“It’s the first time I’ve seen someone jumping in to be an assistant.” Dorian stared at her with a stiff smile, feeling somewhat disgruntled.

He had no idea what was the cause for his disgruntlement, but he thought that the brilliant smile Gisele was wearing now seemed like an eyesore.

In reply,

Gisele merely smiled without a word. If it made him happy to be sarcastic at her, she decided to Just let him be because this was the only thing she could do to make him happy.

Immediately, Dorian felt powerless because his sarcasm didn’t work on her.

“Ms. Assistant, we’ve made the adjustments,” the journalists shouted at her.

“Okay, we’re going up now. Please don’t make the same mistake as earlier. Ms. Milan hates

imperfections,” Gisele hinted at them, smiling softly.
