Logan's POV.

It all happened so fast.

One minute I was watching my beautiful, strong wife standing up for herself like the badass she is against her family and her ex-fiance

which by the way was a huge f****g turn on, the next, I was embracing my beauty like the possessive beast that I am as I happily

announced our union.

I don't know what I expected to happen after this, I certainly wasn't expecting a happy ending with my in-laws but I also wasn't expecting

for Lacey's brother Justin, my best friend to attack me like the degenerate he is.

The funny thing is that Justin knows not to fight me because I'm a highly skilled fighter, so much so that I could've fought in the UFC if I

wanted to but my parents forbid me from competing.

The reason why they forbid me from fighting professionally is that they wanted me to take over Black Enterprises and in their minds, a

successful CEO and businessman like myself should always be clean-cut and presentable with a squeaky-clean image and they shouldn't

look like they've just done twenty rounds with Conor McGregor which makes sense if you think about it.

Speaking of injuries, I knew I had at least a busted lip and eyebrow, as well as sore ribs from the attack but this was nothing compared to my

so-called best friend and brother-in-law who looks like s**t.

Anyway, Justin had somehow managed to get on top of me and was about to punch me in the face when the most incredible thing

happened stopping Justin in his tracks.

“HEY, GET OFF MY DAD!"

We both looked towards the sound and my heart skipped a beat when I saw a very angry Logan Junior run towards us and start attacking

Justin reigning down punch after punch on him before Lacey came over and pulled him away.

I said trying to calm my son down and reassure him that I was ok.

My heart broke however when a little sob escaped his lips and tears filled his eyes.

"You're hurt"

Logan Junior says as he lifts his little hand up to touch my sore cheek.

His touch was an oxymoron because it hurt where he touched but it also made me feel better as well.

My son's upset face suddenly turned to anger when he looked at his uncle before looking back at me.

“That bad man hurt you, dad"

He says and I shake my head as a bunch of dancing monkeys erupt in my stomach from hearing Logan Junior call me dad again.

“No son, he didn't, nobody could ever hurt me except for you, your mom or your brother or sister"

“But...but you're bleeding”

Logan Junior whimpers.

Tinstantly felt like an asshole for fighting with Justin because I should've known that I wouldn't walk away from this unscathed and it would

hurt my little family to see me like this.

"Come here, son"

1 pull Logan Junior closer to me and I wrap my arms around him as I nuzzle my face into his little neck inhaling his sweet scent which

managed to calm me down.

"You called me dad?"

Task barely above a whisper but I know he heard me.

“That's what you are, you're my dad"

“Yeah, Tam"

I said happily.

“I'm sorry 1 didn't say it sooner, dad, I just needed to know that I could trust you"

“You can always trust me, son, I promise you"

Tsay and he nods his head as his hold on me tightens.

“I love you, dad"

Ilet out a shaky breath as I look up at my wife who was watching us with teary eyes and she had both of her hands covering her mouth.

I carefully stood up with Logan Junior in my arms, I wrapped his legs around my waist and held him close to me before closing the space

between my wife and me.

“Don't cry, baby”

Tsay as I gently cup her face and kiss her forehead before leaning down and kissing her lips.

“He called you dad, Lo finally called you dad”

She whimpered and I smiled as I caressed her soft cheek.

"Yeah baby, he did"

I said as I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to me.

Lacey and I have been looking forward to this day for a long time now and I know it always hurt my girl whenever Logan Junior would call

me by my name and not his dad, so it's not surprising to see her this emotional about it.

It's also not helping her emotional state that she's had to deal with her family, she was forced to watch me and her big brother fight and

now she's witnessing our usually stoic son show some emotion and affection, it's a very emotional and overwhelming moment for her right

now.

Unfortunately, this sweet and beautiful moment didn't last long when Lacey's family opened their mouths ruining it for us.

"What the hell is going on here? who's this kid?"

Liam asks and I roll my eyes.

“He's my kid, Liam, he's mine and Logan's son"

"Actually, he's our eldest child"

I'said with a proud smile.

“Your eldest? wait, how many kids have you all got?"

“Only us"

A sweet little voice said.

We all look behind Lacey and see Dayton and Teddy standing there with Duke and Bunny.

“Why are they talking funny?"

Teddy says probably sensing her brother was gonna say something he shouldn't.

Oh my god, these kids.

I thought to myself whilst shaking my head and chuckling.

“Mom, dad, what's going on here? you knew where Lacey was? and you knew about...these kids?"

Lacey's dad asks his parents.

Duke and Bunny walked over to us with Dayton and Teddy.

The kids stood in front of us while my wife's grandparents stood next to her and her grandfather wrapped his arm around Lacey to give her

some comfort.

"We've only known for a little while James and we..."

"James? is that who I'm named after, mum?"

Dayton interrupts his great-grandfather as he looks up at his mom.

Lacey nods her head and smiles at her son.

“Yes baby it is, now don't be rude, you know better than to interrupt people”

“Oh yeah, sorry gramps”

“You're forgiven, my boy"

Duke says with a smile before looking back at his family.

“Like I was saying before I was so cutely interrupted, we've only known about Lacey and the children for a short while and we've been

wanting her to come home on her own but as we all know, our girl here is stubborn”

"And you didn't think to tell us you'd found her or that she had children? you just sat back and watched all of us suffer as we worried about

our daughter?”

James says angrily and Lacey rolls her eyes.

Lacey pleaded with her grandparents not wanting our children to hear all about her father being abusive but unfortunately for her, old

habits seemed to die hard for her dad because he didn't listen to her pleas.

“I didn't use my fists, dad and you all know that I've regretted my actions from back then"

“Well, actions have consequences, my boy and these are the consequences of not only your actions but also Luca and Dylan's actions as

well”

Bunny said before taking a sip of her drink.

1 swear when this woman dies she'll be buried with a gin glass in one hand and a bottle of gin in the other.

Tlooked down at my wife who was looking uncomfortable and I knew that she wanted to get away from where we are and away from the

people who are making her feel this way.

I know from personal experience that there's only so much Lacey can take before she just shuts down and ignores what's going on around

her.

It's almost like her brain goes into safe mode to protect her but she doesn't need to do that anymore because she's got me, her husband to

look after and protect her.

“Duke, Bunny, if you don't mind, I'd like to take my wife and children back to the party"

“Of course, Logan go, we'll be through in just a moment”

Duke says as he leans in and kisses Lacey on her cheek.

“I love you, gramps"

“I love you too, lambchop*

IT wrapped my arm around Lacey's waist and we attempted to leave when we were stopped by her dad.

“Wait, stop, you can't leave Lacey, sweetheart, we need to talk"

"I'm done talking with you all, dad...you didn't listen to me when I needed you all the most but now you expect me to do as you say and

listen to you? what a joke"

Lacey says leaving her family shocked.

"Come on, love"
