Chapter 7

I woke up early, as usual, and had a shower, then got changed into some gray leggings and a cream colored sweater. After throwing my hair up into a messy bun, I went to the kitchen, to help the others make breakfast.

“Good morning,” I spoke to the girls, before going over to the stainless steel sink, to wash my hands. Opening one of the drawers, I pulled out an apron and put it on, like the rest of the girls.

“Morning, Sky. Can you make the pancakes?” Hannah asked, wiping her hands on her apron.

“Sure,” I answered, before getting all the ingredients out. Flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, eggs, and lastly butter. I tend to make foods from scratch because they always lose the taste when they are prepared.

I had just poured the pancakes into the pan, when the peaceful silence, with some background music, was interrupted by a soft voice. “Have you guy heard the rumor about the Alpha?” Natasha asked, coming into the kitchen.

“No, but you’re going to tell us anywhere, right?” Hannah said, looking up from the pan of eggs, she was making, smiling.

I have noticed that Molly doesn’t talk much. She seems to be the type of person that stays on the outside of the room and just looks on.

“Yeah. Word has got around, that the alpha has found his mate,” she said.

I stopped what I was doing and looked up at her. “But does anybody know who she is?” I asked, silently hoping that no one did.

“No, nobody does,” she said and I let out a breath, I didn’t know I was holding. That was close, I thought.

“Okay, forget that. Come on, Nat, and help us set everything up,” Hannah said and Natasha, or Nat for short, nodded. We took all the food to the dining room and put them on the table.

“Right, Scarlett it’s your turn to give Alpha the food,” Hannah stated, handing her the tray.

“Good luck,” Nat said, smirking.

“Don’t worry, Star he isn’t going to say anything or do anything,” I said to make sure she won’t be shaking when she reaches there.

“Thanks, Sky and hope so,” she said and walked out.

Don’t you wanr to see Cole again? Kira asked, whining.

Nope, I replied and blocked her out

After having breakfast me and Star went for a walk to get to know the town. We were walking to the park when I saw Henry and his mom.

“Sky, Sky,” Henry shouted and came running to me.

“Oh, hey Henry. How are you?” I questioned, picking him up.

I love kids, I thought

I know you do, Kira said, but I just rolled my eyes at her.

“Thank so much. Henry told me how you saved him in the fight,” Henry’s mom, Claire, told me.

“Its okay, really,” I said and gave Henry back to her. “Bye, Henry, and be a good boy ok?” I spoke to him and walked away to a bench with Star.

We sat down and talked about anything. All of a sudden star’s eyes glazed over. Mindlink I thought.

You see I am not meant to have mind link because I can’t shift. But really I have it, I just blocked it from everyone.

“Sky, we need to get a dress for tonight’s party because it’s the pack is accepting us,” Star said standing up.

“Let’s go to the mall,” I said excitedly.

I love shopping, I thought.

I know. You love to spend, don’t you? Kira said, smirking tiger style.

Whatever, I said to her and went to the mall with Star.

We went a few shops and then found the perfect dress for us and bought them. We went back to the Pack House to get ready as the party was tonight.

Yeah, I can’t wait for it, I thought

Obviously, you love parties,Kira said rolling her eyes

Leave me alone, I told her.

I wish I could, she said.

I know you love me, I replied, smiling mentally.

More like hate you, she responded, in a sing-song tone

Whatever, I said and blocked her out.
