Chapter 1

“Mia! Wake up.” Summer jumped on my bed.

I turned around in bed and kicked her off the bed.

“Ouch.”

“Don’t wake me up early.” I muttered pulling the covers over my head.

“Early? It’s 1 o’clock. Your mom wants you to get up now. You’re so lucky she was out with your dad.” She explained and I groaned sitting up in bed.

“Fine!” I muttered, getting out of the bed.

“You know you should actually wear a shirt or something to go to sleep? Anyone can enter your room.” Summer said and I rolled my eyes.

“This is me, Summer. I’m happy with my body. And if I can show it at night, that’s good. At least I’m not like Kylie, wearing something like this every day. I was asleep and it was hot.” I said looking at my black bra and panties.

“Okay hurry up. I’ll be downstairs.” She said and walked out the room.

I went to the bathroom and had a shower.

My name is Mia King, the daughter of a princess, well the Queen, and the daughter of the strongest Alpha in the world. I am 19 years old, and other than that there isn’t anything to say about me.

I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out of the room towards my closet I wore my bra and panties, and then pulled on a summer dress.

I wore my flip flop, and towel dried my hair and then walked out of the room.

“Mia Rose King, get downstairs now!” I heard mom shout. I ran down the spiral stairs.

“I didn’t-”

“Yes you did! That cake was mine!” Mom exclaimed and I rolled my eyes sitting on the step

“Really mom? Is this over a cake?” I asked.

“Did you do something else?” She raised her eyebrow.

“Nope!” I said popping the p.

“But why did you eat my cake?” She asked.

“Mom I swear,you act like a kid. And you know dad makes the best cakes!” I exclaimed standing up.

“And I’ll make you another one Emily.” Dad said kissing mom’s cheek.

“Thank you!” Mom kissed dad on the lips and I walked to the kitchen to see Summer with her brother, Brandon. Summer is my cousin, she’s my mom’s best friends daughter.

“Hey Mia.” Brandon waved and I smiled.

“Hi Brandon. Are you not going to school?” I asked and he nodded.

“Going now!” He kissed Summer and mine’s cheeks and ran out of the kitchen. Today’s Brandon’s first day at a private school for werewolf. He’s going to become the Beta so he’s leaving today, and will come back after 3-4 years.

“What are we doing today?” I asked.

“I have training to do, with the other wolves, and then I have to go to work.” She smiled sadly and I nodded.

“It’s okay. Mom was going to show me something anyway.” I smiled and walked out of the kitchen.

I saw mom sat in the living room with dad. I sat in between them as dad groaned.

“Really Mia?” Dad asked moving a little.

“I have nothing to do? Wh-”

“I thinks time I told her Alec.” mom said and dad nodded.

“Why not? I mean she’s got time.”

“I’m right here!” I exclaimed.

“Mia, follow me.” Mom stood up walking out of the room.

“Dad? Is this about the whole princess thing? Because I don’t want to become a princess.” I asked and dad nodded.

“I know, but just go after her.” dad said and I nodded.

I ran out of the room, and upstairs to see mom waiting on the step.

“Mom, I don’t want to be the next princess,or queen.” I muttered and mom nodded.

“I know. Mia, I’m going to send you somewhere, with Summer. I know you two are the strongest pack members we have, and a pack needs you’re help.” She said walking to her room with me behind her.

“Really?” I asked confused sitting on her bed as she went to her closet.

“Yes. I have let them know, and you will be going tomorrow. You’ll only go for a week though. This is the knife you have to carry with you.” She turned around and showing me the gold pocket knife.

“But that’s granddad’s. Mom I c-”

“You can Mia, because you are going to save a pack. And you’ll need, it’s because you’re human.” Mom smiled at me slightly and I rolled my eyes.

“If I’m human mom, then why send me? I can kick anyone’s butt, in this pack” I smirked.

“You are so like your dad.” She mumbled handing me the knife. It wasn’t a big knife, it was a pocket knife.

“I know. That’s why I love dad more!” I joked and she rolled her eyes.

“Anyway, you and Summer will be leaving tomorrow, and don’t mess about there, okay?” She questioned.

“Mom, I’m 19 years old, I don’t mess about.” I muttered and she shook her head.

“Okay. Now go do what you want.” She waved her hand around and I nodded.

I walked out the room and towards my room.

“I have nothing to do.” I muttered walking inside my room and closing the door.

Oh, if you didn’t figure it out by now, I am a human living with werewolves and vampire. I am never going to get my wolf or my spirit.

I’ve accepted fate.
