Chapter 151 

When he arrived in front of Naomi’s room, he pulled the room card out of his pocket and pressed it against the sensor. The door opened immediately. 

He walked in with his hands in his pockets. When he saw Naomi sleeping on her side as she hugged at pillow, his face darkened out of fury. 

He hadn’t been home for multiple days consecutively and had brought Chloe with him to the resort. They had even fought at night. 

Yet, she was still able to sleep soundly. How could she be so carefree? 

Brendan thought Naomi would definitely be the winner if there was a competition for heartlessness. 

He stared at Naomi coldly. Brendan could see how important he was to her. 

Strictly speaking, he was of no importance to her. 

Reuben had just consoled him by saying Naomi had never been with anyone else and married him instantly because she liked him. 

In his opinion, Naomi just couldn’t be bothered to go through all the trouble. She just wanted to complete the task of having a baby. 

He walked to her bedside and looked down at her for a moment. After confirming she hadn’t realized he’d entered, he kicked her foot that was sticking out of the bedcovers. He then rolled his eyes and entered the washroom. 

When he emerged from the washroom, Brendan felt a sense of calm in his heart upon seeing Naomi fast 

asleep. 

He sat on the bed and rubbed at his hair with a towel. He laid down beside her immediately after his hair 

had dried. 

Since he entered the room till now, he hadn’t turned on the lights. He merely went about with the feeble light from the nightlight on the bed stand. It was as though he didn’t want to wake the woman sound asleep on the bed. 

He turned to look at Naomi for a moment. When he saw her sleeping beside him silently, Brendan thought their current silence was rather peaceful too. 

He turned off the nightlight and recalled everything that had happened between him and Naomi. As sleep was about to claim him, Brendan felt a foot kick his back. 

Brendan’s face darkened. He hadn’t reached a hand out to turn the lights on before light flooded the room. 

Following that, Naomi’s furious voice rang out, “Brendan Ludwig, what’s wrong with you? Why are you burrowing into my room in the dead of night? Don’t you have someplace to sleep?” 

As the lights in the room were turned on and she saw that Brendan was the one lying by her side, the terror on her face receded clearly. It then transformed into anger.

He’d made a move on her multiple times tonight. What was he trying to do? 

She’d always been in a bad mood upon waking up. Kicking him for scaring her awake in the middle of the night was already a testament to her leniency. 

Brendan sat up with a hand on his back. He looked at Naomi and said, “Fuck. You’ve developed a habit of 

hitting–me, haven’t you?” 

Naomi grabbed a nearby pillow and bashed it onto him. She then pointed to the door and instructed, “Get out. Fuck off back to your own room.” 

Brendan caught the pillow and threw it aside. He glanced at her coldly. 

The entire resort belonged to the Ludwig family. Which room wasn’t his? 

Upon seeing Brendan’s cold gaze, Naomi recalled that the resort itself belonged to his family. Thus, she got out of bed and stood barefoot. 

“If you’re not going to leave, I will!” 

Naomi was about to leave when Brendan reached a hand out to catch her arm and pull her back. 

“Where are you going in the middle of the night?” he continued, ‘I’ve sought you out multiple times in a night. Can’t you have some deference for me?” 

Brendan pulled her back, causing Naomi to fall onto the bed. She didn’t have the energy to remain angry. 

Naomi ran a hand through her hair and asked, “Brendan, what are you trying to do?” 

Brendan rummaged through the resort’s first aid kit and said, “What do you think I want to do? In addition, 

who would I find if not you?”
