Brendan’s lips felt soft against Naomi’s. And the latter didn’t know how to react. 

She was merely bored and decided to wash Brendan’s clothes. Yet he was deeply touched by this.

Knowing that Brendan wasn’t used to wearing the same clothes for two days straight, she helped him out since he had come all the way to see her.

Naomi’s sarcasm earned a cold snort from Brendan. “Naomi, do you think I came all the way here just to have you wash a couple of pieces of clothing for me?” 

Naomi chuckled. “Did you miss me or something?” 

Naomi understood Brendan’s intentions better than anyone else. He must have heard some rumors and come to confront her, only to find nothing. She just couldn’t be bothered to expose him. 

Brendan didn’t respond to Naomi’s teasing. Instead, he leaned closer to her and asked, “So, if I didn’t come looking for you, you wouldn’t look for me?” 

Naomi didn’t appreciate Brendan’s words. “You’re heartless, Brendan. We’ve been married for over two years, and I’ve caught you cheating numerous times. You’re good at turning the tables.” 

Brendan’s expression darkened. “Cheating? Do you have any evidence?” 

Naomi huffed. “Don’t worry! Once I have it, I’ll make sure you lose everything.” 

Hearing this, Brendan carried Naomi. “You may be able to get to me, but you won’t have my money.” 

He could fall for her lies as long as money wasn’t involved. 

Naomi joked, “Are you this stingy with everyone?” 

Brendan didn’t hesitate to pin Naomi to the bed. “Women would spend money just to sleep with me. I don’t even have to pay for anything.” 

Naomi retorted, “So you’re saying I’m stingy since I’m not sleeping with you?” 

After Naomi spoke, Brendan kissed her passionately. 

As they kissed, Brendan’s expression suddenly changed when he started removing Naomi’s clothes.” Naomi, why didn’t you tell me you started your period?” 

Naomi couldn’t help but laugh at Brendan’s embarrassment. “You didn’t call me before you came either!” 

Naomi had long seen through Brendan’s intentions, She deliberately didn’t tell him, considering how he always left halfway through before.

Naomi’s amusement at Brendan’s discomfort grew. The latter gathered her into his arms and switched 

off the lights. “Let’s sleep.” 

Forcibly held in Brendan’s arms, Naomi felt like she had returned to the good old days when she and Brendan hadn’t fallen out. She would occasionally be embraced by him back then. And he still had the 

same scent. 

It was late at night. As Brendan led her hand down south, Naomi sneered. “Do you have no shame? Go to the bathroom and handle it yourself.” 

Brendan didn’t argue with her and continued. After he came, Naomi wiped her hands on him disdainfully and began negotiating with him. 

“Tell your mom not to pester me for grandchildren. She called again today.” 

Brendan didn’t even think about it and directly refused, “No.” 

If he said yes, Naomi would never find him again. Moreover, they only had a little argument, no big deal. 

Seeing this, Naomi moved her foot and kicked Brendan’s legs. 

“Naomi Goodwin!” Brendan growled. 

*I relieved you earlier. Can’t I have fun too?” Naomi argued. 

“Sleep.” With that, Brendan held Naomi tightly in his arms. 

In the quiet of the night, the two hadn’t peacefully interacted like this for a long time.
