She’s standing under an arbor woven with jasmine and the smell makes her giddy. She gazes into his eyes. There’s so much love there. How she got so lucky is a mystery.

“The rings, please,” asks the priest.

Her gigantic black dog starts trotting down the aisle. His blue face isn’t blue today. He’s been nothing but smiles. She hears laughter and cheers as he makes his way up to her. His chest puffs and his beautiful tail swishes from side to side.

Together they kneel down to untie the rings from the bow around her dogs neck.

“My brave little boy,” she whispers.

“Woof.”
