Chapter 1636: Thank You Gift

After coming to her senses, the receptionist immediately walked over respectfully and smiled, "Madam, you're here."

Selena took a rare moment to look around curiously and lightly said, "Hmm," before softly asking, "Where is the young master?"

The receptionist smiled and said, "The young master is on the rooftop. The elevator is over there."

As she spoke, she gestured with a hand for Selena to follow.

Selena walked over with Leia and entered the elevator.

There was only one room on the top floor. Leia was very tactful and stayed outside while Selena walked up to the door and gently

pushed it open before looking inside.

Osvaldo stood in front of his desk with his familiar black clothes and hair. He furrowed his brows as he concentrated on something

while looking down.

After gazing at that exquisite handsface for a moment or two in silence, Selena quietly approached him from behind without

making any noise.

She cup behind Osvaldo then reached out her arms around his waist as she asked

thank you," she whispered softly.

Osvaldo curved his thin lips into a smile. "And where's my thank-you gift?"

Selena pulled out the small cake she had bought earlier, placing it on the table and opening the lid. She scooped a spoonful of cake

and offered it to him with a grin. "Here you go."

As he watched her with serious eyes, Osvaldo realized that Selena truly believed that she needed to thank him for something

special.

He knew that this little girl lacked emotional intelligence; she didn't even know how to say sweet nothings...

Just as he was feeling sorry for her, Selena leaned in close again, cheeks flushed red as she whispered, "... husband."

Osvaldo was taken aback at first but then burst out laughing before ruffling her hair affectionately. Suddenly understanding why

Selena had bought the cake as a gift for him.

He wasn't much of a sweets person and Selena knew this fact well enough but still went ahead with buying the cake anyway -

there was definitely more meaning behind it all...

It represented how happy and sweet-hearted Selena felt inside - something that she wanted Osvaldo to feel too.

With sparkling eyes fixed on hers, Osvaldo took a bite of the cake while Selena asked playfully: "... is it sweet?"

He touched her smiling face gently before answering softly: "Mmm-hmm... but actually there's something sweeter than this."

Selena blinked at him innocently while Osvaldo lowered his head down towards hers until their lips met in an intense kiss.

Her snow-white cheeks turned bright red instantly under Osvaldo's passionate embrace until he finally let go of her when they both

ran out of breath.

Selena's face, flushed with excitement, was pressed against Osvaldo's chest as she giggled and said, "Thank you for the... gift. I

really like it."

Osvaldo looked at Selena, who rarely acted so playful, and his eyes softened.
