Prologue

A thousand years ago there we’re only dragons, one dragon was named Arvossaess she brought life to the land. Soon humans were living among the dragons, Ceghyla was their queen. Arvossaess was named bringer of life, eventually she married Xorginym King of the dragons, the two ruled the land in peace and called it Aresbury. But that peace didn’t last for long the Dragons decided that humans were inferior to live among them. So they attacked the humans and a great war raged between dragons and humans, the land was split in two. Iqunearean Empire of The Dragons and Ceghyla Kingdom of The Humans. Iquearean held most of the territory ninety five percent, while the humans where being pushed back and had a measly five percent. The dragons slaughtered the humans without mercy, the humans tried to fight back but failed, because guns, and swords where not strong enough to penetrate a dragons scales. Until someone named Sliyphia rose and found a way to fight back against the dragons.

That war still continues to this day. My name is Kelya Rhodes I live in Sliphia in an apartment with my mother the year is 2010. Marsha Rhodes and father Ryker Rhodes. From the moment I opened my eyes I could hear the sounds of dragons in the distance. The bloodthirsty beasts frightened me, when I was three years old my father decided to join the army to fight against the dragon threat. At school my teacher asked me “What do you want to be when you grow up?” “I want to stay alive” I replied.

Four years later my father came through the apartment door my mother stared at him in shock then ran over to him and kissed him. I got up to see my mother was crying. When he saw me he held out his arms only to my horror one of his arms was completely gone. I embraced him tightly then started to cry.

“Shh. Don’t cry. Want to hear the story?” He replied. “That son of a bitch bit my arm clean off, I dropped my pistol.” He paused.

“But then I picked up my pistol with my left hand, and shot that bastard in the eye.” He started laughing, Then said. “He got a piece of me and I got a piece of him. I wiped my tears and looked at him smiling. So from that day forward I swore to not be afraid of those beasts, I may not be the best fighter but I can invent and design the weapons to fight against them. The more I grew up the more we evolved, soon we had technology that we couldn’t imagine.
