“It was you all the time!” She raised her voice.

“I can’t believe I was so stupid to see it”, she said.

“Tell me, damn it!” She yelled at Viktor.

“Yes, it was me”, he admitted, and in his voice was a relief.

“So, you were pretending to be my friend?” She was bittered.

“I’ve never pretend, I’m your friend Lotta and I always will be, regardless of Drake, or what you think”, he said.

“I didn’t do it because he’s a future Alpha or because I will become his Beta, I choose to be your friend, because of you”, he said.

“Why did you train me?” She asked, suddenly.

“Because you needed that”, he answered.

“I did it for you, not for me or Drake, just for you, and I know I did a damn good thing”, he said, satisfied.

“When I saw your wolf, I knew that I wasn’t wrong, in fact, I was proud of you and myself, if I may say”, he added, which made Lotta smile a bit.

“I can understand why didn’t you tell me that I was his mate, but I think I’m not ready for that”, she said to him.

“Why would you say that?”

“You should be happy that you find your mate and that you have a chance to love and be loved”, he said with sadness.

“He doesn’t love me, he just wants to own me, and it’s a mate bond”, she said with disappointment and anger.

“Now, I’m really upset, Lotta”, Viktor said.

“Drake isn’t that kind of a man, or he will ever be”, he said.

“I know him for years.”

“Maybe not to you, but he was pretty clear with me , just a while ago”, she was upset now.

He laughed.

“Is something funny?” She asked.

“Well, you must admit, that you are tough to handle, my friend”, he said.

“Give him a chance, you won’t regret it, I promise you.”

“Yes, it’s the bond that pulls you, but it will turned into true love so easily and fast, that you won’t be able to see when that happens, but you will feel it”, he said calmly.

“How come you know all that?” She was curious.

“My father told me, and you know I had a mate once, but not a chance to be with her”, he said with bitterness.

“And, how come you don’t?” He asked.

“I never was interested in that, you know I’m more of a book worm”, she smiled.

“Well, at least I was, now I don’t know what’s going to happened”, she said, worried.

“Nothing that you don’t want to, so just stay calm and be your self”, he told her.

“I can’t be me with him, he’s making me angry , and I have an urge to strangle him”, she said in anger.

“You should have some other urge toward me”, a deep voice was heard behind her.

Viktor smiled at his old friend and was relieved when he saw him, and not someone else, but still.

He also knew that Drake would be mad, because of finding him alone outside with Lotta, now when he here.

“You are really impossible to talk too”, she said in anger.

“Would you mind leaving us in private Viktor?” It was more an order, than a request, judging by the tone of Drake’s voice.

Victor got the message.

He excused himself and left, leaving them alone on a clear night, full of stars.

Lotta was nervous as hell and started shivering right away when he was close to her.

“Tomorrow, you will move your things into my house”, Drake said, leaving her speechless.
