Alpha's love
Declaring War

Aria let out a cry as she realized that Ellia was dead, her throat slit by the claws of the Beta. Milean let out another piercing howl before Aria shifted back into human form. Aria stroked Cass’s fur, Ellia’s wolf’s name, tears falling freely from her eyes. “I had him Ellia....I shouldn’t have linked you, should have just let you have fun at the club. I’m sorry...” Aria trailed off as her throat choked up. Howls erupted from around her as her pack members sprinted into the clearing in wolf form, their sorrow reverberating through Aria. They could sense her pain, and she theirs. They circled around Aria and Ellia, changing back to human form crouching beside Aria and touching Cass’s fur, whispering their goodbyes through tears.

They sat around Cass until daybreak, switching between wolf and human form, mourning the loss of their Beta and sister until Aria felt weak from the loss of blood, and asked her pack to take Ellia and herself back to the pack house. She commanded them to lock the unconscious Beta in a cell. The pack complied without question, tears staining their cheeks as they lifted Ellia into their arms. Her third in command, Eve, saw Aria's wound before any of the others, despite Aria's attempt to hide it. "Lord help us all, Aria, we've already lost one sister today we don't need to lose our Alpha too, come on we need to get you fixed up.'' Eve shook her head as she helped Aria to her feet, one of her hands pressed to Aria's stomach. They all walked to the pack house together, a heavy silence hanging over the group, stares of hatred aimed at the intruder who was being dragged along roughly by his ankles. To lose a member was like losing a piece of your own heart, a part of yourself was gone.

Eve hurried ahead of the others, shoving the door open with one hand as the pack came behind her, worry and grief sketched onto their features. Eve laid Aria on the couch yelling for the pack doctor to get his ass down here and save our alpha. Her pack crowded around her, before the doctor pushed through them, ordering them to give her space. Reluctantly, they moved to the edge of the living room, while Aria lay on the couch as the doctor worked his magic. She slipped in and out of consciousness as the doctor knelt by her side, pressing a compress onto her stomach wound, whispering comforts into her ear. Although shifters could heal fast, the Beta's claws had cut deep, and the loss of her packmate was a strain on her wolf. Milean remained hidden in her mind, causing Aria's wounds to heal at the normal human rate. Because of this, the pack doctor had to stick her with a needle, give her fluids from an IV, and stitch her wound shut before ordering Eve to change the bandages covering the stitches every 2 hours to ensure her wound didn't get infected. Then he left, telling Aria to get some rest. The pack parted to let him through, thanking him softly before turning back towards their Alpha. As soon as the door shut behind him Aria attempted to get up off the couch but cursed out in pain before sinking back onto the couch in anger.

"Milean you stubborn wolf heal me so we can go kill that son a b**** !" Aria yelled out loud as her wolf's snarl erupted in her mind. I needed time to grieve and nurse my wounds, but now, yes we will ensure that he suffers a long painful death. I quite liked Ellia, shame that she died, good warrior. Aria smiled at Milean's gruff words and leaned her head back in relief as Milean healed Aria. "Nothing like a little wolf bond to help heal wounds," Aria said, smiling a little as the other girls snorted, relieved that their Alpha would be fine. Eve smacked Aria on the shoulder playfully as she stood up,

"Had us worried there Alpha, tell Milean to not give me a heart attack next time." Their jokes were short-lived as they remembered that Ellia would never share their jokes again, that they would never hear her laughter again. The sorrow settled over the room again and they all turned to their Alpha awaiting her orders. Aria stalked towards the cellar stairs, which led to the cells turning said quietly, "This Beta WILL pay for his crimes, but first, we find out where he came from, what his orders were, then we attack his pack and kill them...all." Her words were met with nods and words of agreement before Eve stepped forward her face grim, "It is no question who attacked us, Alpha, I'm sure we all suspected that it was our neighboring pack whom the tensions were already high, but now the sentries guarding the territory line confirmed our suspicions.'' Eve continued, after a brief pause to catch her breath, "They just mind-linked me that their alpha has sent his third in command, in place of his Beta..... who is now in our hold." Snarls of anger filled the air as Aria's pack members displayed their hatred.

Aria held up her hand to silence them, stepping forward, "Yes, this is news and it only breaks what little peace we had left, I declare war against them. I will make this known when this so-called alpha sends his DELTA to meet us, instead of coming to face his consequences himself. This alpha is a coward and killer, and he will be killed by myself." Aria spoke the words with such coldness and confidence that her pack members were stunned at first, but then they erupted in cheers. She smiled grimly, but their cheers were short-lived as a knock at the door sounded. The pack fell silent and Aria swept towards the door, motioning for Eve to follow her. Standing at the door was none other than the delta himself, flanked by two other males. His smile faltered at Aria's stony face and disappeared completely when Aria stepped outside to meet them, forcing the delta to step back. "I would invite you in, but I hate blood on the furniture, it cost a fortune," Aria said with a wolfish smile. The delta frowned and opened his mouth to speak but Aria held up her hand stopping him, "I care not for what you have to say, you killed MY beta, and trespassed on my land with what I can only assume are ill intentions, seeing as it was after midnight. I, Alpha Aria of the Full Moon Pack declare war against the Crescent Arc Pack with Delta Eve as my witness and YOU as my other witnesses. And tell your....Alpha, to meet me at Acair Club in 20 minutes." With that, Aria stepped forward and pointed towards the driveway in front of her, "Now...kindly get the fuck off my land." With that she turned and stalked back inside, slamming the door behind her. The three on the doorstep were stunned by Aria's words, then the delta's eyes narrowed and he turned and stormed away from her door. Peeling out of her driveway leaving a cloud of dust behind them.
