We are in Malachi's car and I straddle him. I have to lift my dress to get my legs on each side of him, so my lace panties are visible. "I love you too, Luna,” He says, then gets back in his car and waits for me to get into the building.

I walk up the stairs to my apartment to find Alaric standing at my door. "Oh my god. What do you want?" I say, irritated. "We never finished our conversation the other day," He says. "Yeah, that's because I have nothing to say to you," I retort. "Malachi does not deserve you. I do,” He unexpectedly shouts. I step away from him with a frantic look on my face. "Alaric, I think you should leave now," I demand, but he only comes closer to me. "You see, Chloe. My brother stole being an Alpha from me, so technically you are my Luna," He says with a grin. "No, Alaric. I love Malachi and you need to understand that,” I reply. He lunges towards me, and I slip to the right, barely getting away and rush to my door. I open wide enough to slip through, and close it behind me as fast I can. I lock it and call Malachi. I can feel Alaric banging on the door. Malachi picks up on the first ring. "MALACHI HELP!! I scream.

"Chloe, I'm coming,” I can hear the engine rev, and there is screeching. "Please hurry Malachi, Alaric is trying to break in," I say frantically. "Go to your room and lock the door I'm coming," He tells me. I do as he says and run to my room. I lock the door when I hear the front door breaking down. I hide in my closet, my hands trembling with fear.

"Chloe?" Alaric calls. I cover my mouth, hoping he can't hear me. I gasp when my bedroom door bursts open and I jump from the noise. "Chloe, you can't hide from me. I will find you,” Alaric says aggressively. I can see him standing in the doorway through the crack of my closet and he looks right at me. I stand up and back away from him as much as my clothes allow. Just as he is about to reach me, he is tackled to the ground by a giant brown wolf. Alaric shifts into a white wolf, and they begin tumbling around my room, snapping at each other. I can't see much, but then a howl echoes through my apartment. I come running to make sure Malachi is okay and see Alaric has disappeared.

Malachi looks my way, still in his wolf form, and I can see the concern in his wolf's eyes. I walk to him, looking at him when he nestles his snout into me like he wants me to pet him. I reach my hand out and slowly touch his fur. I'm mesmerized. I've never seen a Werewolf in their wolf form. Amelia never had a reason to shift in front of me.

Malachi lays down, and I sit on the floor kneeling in front of him. He puts his head in my lap, and I comb my fingers through his fur. "Thank you for saving me, Alpha,” I say in a sweet voice, pulling his wolf's head to make eye contact with me. I wrap my arms around Malachi's neck, hugging his wolf like he was a teddy bear. He whimpers, nudging me with his nose to move my hands away to sniff my stomach and a thought rushes through me "Oh no, he knows..."
