Fenrir POV.

“She is here!” Draca screamed in my head as Lorena made her way into the hall. I felt tingles throughout my body like a form of connection was created between us. She smiled brightly as she carried herself elegantly. With each step that she took, I couldn't stop staring at her and I wasn't the only one who turned to see her. The Alphas who were present in the hall also turned to see her. They all stared hungrily at her and I clenched my fists when I saw one of the Alphas licking his lips as he watched Lorena.

That was a fault on her part as she was wearing a dress that shows her cleavage. I was going to have a word with Miss Donna later about giving her a dress like that because it made her look like she was there to sell herself. Lorena bowed her head to me. When she reached and sat down beside Angelica who was seated amongst the concubines.

“Everyone!” I cleared my throat to gain their attention and stood up from the chair. “Listen up to my announcement!” I said and they all turned their attention from Angelica and faced me. “I have concluded that I would choose a luna Queen since the seat has been empty for a while now. This is my first announcement right here before I revealed it to the whole world. The best candidate for this position is Lady Angelica!” I announced and beckoned to Angelica to come forward.

“She looks beautifull” I heard one of my concubine's whisper.

“Amazing woman who would be our queen.”

“I wondered who he will pick as his noble consort,’ Danielle chuckled and shifted on her seat. I smiled knowing that she'll b shocked when I picked Lorena as the noble consort.

“Your Highness," Angelica bowed as she stood in front of me. “It's a pleasure to stand in front of you and get this huge honor,” she smiled.

“Raise your head," I ordered her and she gently raised her head to face me. “Stand beside me please” I said.

“Yes, your highness," she smiled and walked to my right side.

“Your to be Luna queen Angelica!” I announced and everyone clapped their hands except Lorena who looked bored and was staring at the ceiling as if she was not a part of everyone there. She was probably waiting to be announced as the noble consort so she'll disappear from there but I wasn't going to give her that chance. Instead of picking her, I was going to play a game and since how she'll be willing to fight.

“Who will be your noble consort your highness?” One of the Alphas asked.

I grinned and looked toward Lorena. Everyone followed my stare until they landed on Lorena's.

“No way!" An Alpha scoffed. “He is going to pick a human. *

“How could he pick her over me!” Danielle muttered to the girl beside her but it was loud enough for me to hear. Picking Lorena was my plan from the beginning but seeing her showing off her nonchalant and relentless spirit, I decided to change what I wanted.

“The noble consort seat would be empty for now!” I announced and the room grew silent. Nobody said a word while I watched Lorena’s reaction. She was glaring at me while she shakes her leg every few seconds but didn't say a word.

“This is why I like her!” Draca laughed. “She is strong!” He stated.

“There is nothing strong about her attitude!” I replied to him. “All I see is arrogance!” I frowned.

“Your highness” Alpha of the south stood up and bowed his head to me. “If you are not picking a noble consort yet then it means that the tradition of the wolves won't be balanced!” He said.

I nodded in response and walked forward toward where Lorena and the other concubines were seated. I stood in front of he and lowered my head to her level. I stared into her eyes and she stared back at me not averting her eyes.

“How dare that human look the king in the eyes!” They all shouted and pointed fingers at her.

“She is mannerless and deserves to be punished for her arrogant attitude. *

“silence!” I shouted stopping everyone in the room from speaking. I placed my hands around her throat and smiled at her. “This woman right here and every other concubine would be given the chance to fight for a spot as the Noble consort!” I dropped the bombshell and finally got the reaction I wanted from Lorena.

“What!” Her eyes widened as she gasped. She quickly covered her mouth and closed her eyes when she realized what she had done. I had shocked her and she had shown her vulnerability in front of me. I lets go of her throat and walked back to the center of the room. “The selection process would begin next week to test the strength, respect, endurance, and willingness of the human who is strong enough to be my noble consort. The rest of you who doesn't win would be discarded and I would be the second winner to join my Harem.” I announced. “Meeting dismissed!” I turned to leave and looked towarc Lorena who seemed to be contemplating what I had announced.

I smiled like a maniac as I walked out of the hall knowing that I have shocked her and put her in place.

“That was not what you promised our mate” Monster growled at me as I walked into my office.

“Don't growl at me" I warned him.

“I agree with Monster on this one Fenrir," Draca said and yawned. “You promised to make her your noble consort and now you are going on your words!” He stated. I could imagine him frowning at me at the moment but I didn’t care about how he was feeling. I wanted to see how Lorena was going to react to the announcement. Was she going to take it lightly or was she going to react like she always does?

“You can't enter there!” I heard Romeo's voice sound from outside my office and smiled knowing who he was arguing with. “Let's see what Lorena had to say!" I chuckled and sat on my chair. “I bet she is here to pour out anger on us!” I laughed. “You must be glad to watch our mate suffer,” Monster accused.

“No, I enjoy watching her strength!” I retorted and that was the truth. For a human, she had proven to be much braver than most werewolves.
