Chapter 13 Dare Not to Admit It

Darron’s eyes were sharp.

Thinking of their cooperation, Gwyneth could not cool down.

She bent to stay low. Darron was helpless. “Go back to work.”

“Yes, Mr. Conner!”

Hearing this, Gwyneth was overjoyed and returned to her desk at once.

Darron glanced at her with his deep eyes and entered Raynard’s office without saying anything.

Gwyneth tried to focus on her work. But she kept thinking about what she saw in the longue.

She opened the door.

Then she sensed the oppressive atmosphere in the office, which made her more nervous.

“Mr. Fletcher, these are for the meeting. Please check them out.”

She put the documents on the desk with respect and pushed them to him.

Raynard’s thin fingers patted the rosewood desk with rhythm.

Her heart got nervous as he patted.

Seeing that he was silent, she was even more nervous. She could not bear it anymore.

After a long while, just as she almost gave up, Raynard finally said, “What did you see?”

“Nothing!” She denied it at once.

If she said she saw his naked body, it would be no better than what had happened that night!

She didn’t want to be in trouble!

Gwyneth looked up nervously at his deep eyes.

Somehow, she didn’t feel any trace of cold in his eyes…

But it was just a glance. Then she lowered her head at once. “I didn’t see anything.”

“Really?” His tone became colder.

Gwyneth nodded firmly.

Just like what she did that night, she tried to stay calm as she lied.

Raynard laughed.

It was the first time that she had heard such laughter. It was cold and teasing, which made her even more nervous.

Raynard said nothing more and withdrew his gaze from her. He said in a deep voice, “Get out!”

“OK.”

She nodded and ran out.

Staring at her back, he smiled.

Soon after she came out of his office, she was asked to see Darron in his office by his assistant.

There was another person in the office.

Gwyneth said, “Mr. Conner! What can I do for you?”

“Come and check if you watched the video at the hotel!”

Gwyneth was speechless.

The video eliminated by her and Janine?

Her mind went blank as her face turned pale.

She looked at Darron numbly and couldn’t react!

Darron noticed that she stayed put and frowned. “Ms. Maynard?”

“What?”

“Come and watch the video!”

She held her breath!

She didn’t want to watch the video! She wanted to run away now!
