Chapter-23 September 11th

Reagan's POV

For the first time in last ten days I slept comfortably. Someone's breathing was fanning on my forehead, I slowly opened my eyes to see the most beautiful human on this planet; Faith, she looked so calm and peaceful, her hands wrapped around me, our legs tangled.

For the first time in our entire life, our positions han been swapped. Whenever we slept together it was always me who would hold her like she's holding me right now. But it feels good to lay on her chest, that move up and down in a steady pace. She smelled good too, so I inhale deeply only to blow on her neck making her scratch it. I traced her bitten lip with my thumb, and instantly felt guilty for doing that to her. I kissed her neck and try to freed myself from her firm hold.

I don't know how am I going to face her today, I'm so ashamed of myself for crying last night, I felt so vulnerable and cried myself to sleep. She must have thought how pathetic I'm for asking her not to leave me, not to go to Amelia and break my heart. I was literally begging her, memories of last night made me more embarrassed now. How pathetic.

She started to stir in the bed so I rushed into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the day. Well their is nothing particular to do, anyways I got ready and walked out of the room, Faithlynn was still asleep. I decided to make breakfast for the both of us.

While I was plating I heard descending footsteps, making me nervous, where do I hide myself? She came beside me and "did you sleep well?" She asked with a yawn, I didn't dare look at her and just nodded. She kissed my cheek making me blush and went to sit on the chair at the table.

I placed a plate in front of her while taking my seat on the other side of the table. We ate in silence.

"When are you going to start work?" She asked breaking the silence. "In two weeks." I squeeked in a low voice then cleared my throat. "In two weeks." I said with my usual tone.

"What's wrong?" She asked putting her toast down, giving me all her attention. I just want this floor to open up and eat me alive. I'm so freaking embarrassed right now, I can't even look into her eyes.

I cleared my throat yet again and answered "nothing".

"Why are you ignoring me?" She asked getting agitated.

"I'm not". I said still looking at my plate.

"Yes you are, why aren't you looking at me when I'm talking to you?" She asked pulling my plate from under my stare.

"I'm looking at you, you look really pretty". I said looking through my eyelashes, complementing her earning a soft smile. "Thanks". I said pulling my plate to myself.

"You are acting weird, did I do something?." She asked worried.

"No no you haven't done anything" I said taking a deep breath before looking up to her only to look back down instantly blushing under her stare.

"Then what's the problem, look at me Reagan." She yelled banging the table waiting for me to answer, when she didn't get the response she get up, putting the plate in the sink and went upstairs. I didn't say anything.

I went to the room and knocked because apparently my room is locked from the inside.

"What do you want" she said opening the door a little. I pushed past her.

"I'll wait downstairs." I said grabbing my wallet and watch when she asked "what do you mean?"

"We need to go see off our parents." She rolled her eyes, "I'll be down in five".

After thirty minutes she came down wearing only sweats, I mean...seriously, can't she put something presentable under thirty minutes?

"Let's go." She said walking past me. I sigh.

We just returned from the airport, Faithlynn jogged up to the room.

"I'm going out with April, Amelia and Aron." She yelled from upstairs and slammed the door shut.

I just sat there staring in the space confused, isn't she supposed to spend her time with me? Her own wife? I took leave from work just for this, just so I sit here and she go out with her friends and ex?

I went up to our room hearing the shower running, I changed hurriedly into some presentable clothes which consist of black ripped skinny jeans and blue and white checkered shirt and my blue converse. I was all ready when she came out of the bathroom, I gulped looking at her flawless body covered in towel.

"Well, I was thinking maybe I could tag along with you guys" I said trying hard to keep my eyes on her face. She smirked coming towards me putting her arms around my neck, "no you can't come with us." She said kissing my neck, making goosebumps rise throughout my body, I tried so hard not to roll my eyes back ward from the warmth our close proximity is producing.

"I'll be waiting downstairs". I said and rushed out of the room breathing heavily. I heard her laugh at my discomfort.

After about an hour or so she came down in her full glory. Not really, what the hell is she wearing? I thought when I saw her wearing an off shoulder crop top which barely cover anything; this thing can easily slide down, with some booty shorts; is she crazy?

"Why are you not ready even after an hour?" I asked earning a frown, when she went to open the door as if to let someone in. To my dismay it was Amelia with April and Aron.

Amelia was shamelessly checking her out, while April and Aron came to greet me.

"I thought we won't see you for a while considering your wedding yesterday." Aron said smirking. I ignored him and went to Faith and Amelia, who by now has her hand on Faithlynn's shoulder; that bitch.

I grab Faithlynn by her waist, surprising her. "Why don't you take a seat when Faithlynn get changed" I gestured Amelia to the living room with a fake smile.

"I'm all ready to go, what are you saying." Faithlynn scowl at me. "We'll be back" I told them with a smile and dragged Faithlynn to our room, "I saw that big ass hickey Faith" April yelled after us.

"What is your problem?" She asked annoyed and blushed at April's comment.

Now to look at it, it's big and deep red, it must've hurt. "I'm sorry" I said tracing the red mark.

"It's okay" she said averting her eyes from me, "I really didn't mean to--" I tried apologising again but she interrupted "I said it's fine, okay" she smiled caressing my cheek, I nodded.

"Put some clothes on so we could go." I said calmly taking a seat on the bed.

"I already have clothes on, don't act like that." She said frowning.

"You need to change, I can't risk you going out in that." I said motioning her barely covered body

"First of all I already have clothes on, and second of all I'm going out not 'we' and third of all I'm going to wear whatever I want, so keep your nose out of my clothing choices." She spat into my face then made her way towards the door. I grabbed her wrist, turning her around, "you need to change these clothes or you aren't going anywhere." I told her in a serious tone not taking my eyes off of her she nodded so I released her and went downstairs where our guests awaits.

"Where's Faithlynn?" April asked wiggling her eyebrows as I sat on the couch. "She's coming." I said.

"It's going to be great just like old times" April said excitement evident in her voice.

"Yeah, it's been so long since we all hanged out like we used to" Aron joined

"I thought you both won't even come out of your room." April said smaking my shoulder playfully.

"I bet she's not enjoying it that much" Amelia said laughing. Changing the whole atmosphere.

"I can give you some tips if you want." She offered smirking, I was about to hit her fucking face when.

"Guys, can we go now?" Faithlynn said entering the living room, she wore a mid thigh baby blue blouson dress with white heels. That's much better.

Amelia whistle and I pushed her out of the house while she laughed her ass off.

"This is much better,you look gorgeous." I whispered in her ear while putting my hand on her waist to escort her to the car while she put a strand of hair behind her ear, blushing while I grinned like an idiot.

Aron took his car with April and Amelia for which I'm really greatful, me and Faith drove in complete silence untill she spoke up "You were ignoring me at breakfast" she stated looking out of the window.

I hesitated "I-I was em-embarrassed". She turned her face to look at me confused. "Why" she asked with a frown making me swallow my own saliva.

I didn't say anything, but she kept looking at me as if studying and waiting for me to answer, which she seems to get without me spitting anyword. "You don't need to be embarrassed, you can open up to me about your feelings". She said taking my hand in hers giving it a squeeze, which earned a nod from me.

We were at a mall, shopping for a while now, I don't know what else they want to shop for, we don't even have any event or function to attend.

Me and Aron were in the arcade while April comes to play with us from time to time.

April texted me to meet them to grab lunch, we made our way to food court, Just as we reached Faithlynn and April, Faithlynn hand me her shopping bags acting tired. I sigh and told her to not shop anymore.

"But it's fun to shop." She whined. Seriously?

"No Faith that's enough for today." I said just as Amelia sat down beside her handing her, her favourite ice cream fruit sundae. Faithlynn squeal and hugged Amelia," Thank you so much, you know me too well". She told Amelia.

"Ofcouse I do". Amelia said looking at me smirking, while I rolled my eyes.

I pulled Faith closed to me by putting my hand around her shoulder as she devoured her mouth with ice cream. My phone started to ring: it was Aron.

"Yes?"

"Can you please come over here to take our food, I really need to go pee" he asked urgently.

"Yeah sure." I said walking towards him taking his place in the que.

"You are a saviour" he said rushing towards the restroom. While I laughed.

I was standing at my place when a girl bumped into me almost falling but I grab her by her waist and her hand hold onto my arms "are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah sorry". She said standing on her own.

I took our food and went to put it on the table and made another round to pick another tray while this girl who bumped into me stopped me.

"Umm... I'm not familiar with this mall, actually I'm here on a vacation and I lost my friends and my phone too. So can I make a call with your phone?" She asked explaining her situation.

"Yeah wait here I'll be right back" I said refering to the tray in my hand she nodded with a smile.

"Yeah here" I gave her my mobile.

"Wow your girlfriend ?" She asked"No screen lock, impressive". She said raising an eyebrow, I chuckle.

"I have nothing to hide also that's my wife." I said refering to the photo of Faithlynn and I, as my lockscreen wallpaper.

She smiled and dialed her friends or whoever and went to a corner to talk to them.

"Thank you so much, they are at the arcade." She said putting her hand on my arm.

"No problem" she gave me a hug to show her gratitude.

"Your wife is pretty by the way, see you around." She said pulling back from the hug and walking off.
