Chapter 15 August 30th

Reagan's POV

When I was leaving, I wanted to leave on a good note because we don't know what future behold. But I'm still a little bitter with all the things that happend; everyone keeping secrets from me, lying to me.

I wanted to forgive her, but its like I can't just let it go, every time I think about forgiving her that scene of her kissing Amelia would pop up in my mind, and I get so angry. All I want to do is punch Amelia in the face and send her back from wherever she came from. But I dont want to answer so many questions and tell my family whats been going on.

I have been ignoring almost everyone, enjoying my time with my niece and wrapping all my work, so that I could take few weeks off. Today was my last working day, so I'm free now, for a while.

The wedding is still on and the date has been decided, its 10th September. All the preparations has been done, everyone is just waiting for the big day and I'm dreading it.

"Aunt Rea can you get me an Owl for my birthday?" Venessa asked in her little voice. I looked at her amused raising an eyebrow.

We were having a marathon of Harry Potter series because Venessa loved that movie, so now she want an Owl as a pet just like Harry.

"No, bunny we can't have an Owl as a pet" I said still amused.

"But I-I want an Owl, he is so white and fluffy." I laughed.

"How do you know he is fluffy?" I asked poking her tummy, she laughed.

"Because he has feathers and he is white." She said looking at me with big innocent eyes.

"I'll buy you an Owl then."

"A white and fluffy Owl?" She asked, her face lighting up.

"Yeah, bunny." I said ruffling her hair.

"Let's go Venessa time for bed". Nadia said coming into my room.

"No five more minutes." Venessa said climbing on my stomach to get away from Nadia.

"No, its already past your bed time, come on." Nadia grab the protesting child.

"No, mommy please" venessa cried.

"Come here." I took her in my arms and wiped her now wet cheeks.

"If you go to bed then we can go buy the Owl tomorrow." I said her face lit up with excitement.

"Really?" She asked not believing, I nodded.

She climb into Nadia's arms without any protest.

I was still watching Harry Potter when Faithlynn came into the room going straight in the bathroom. She came out after changing and lay down beside me.

"Would you please stop ignoring me?" She asked.

I didn't answer and kept on watching the movie.

"Our wedding is only few days away, and you are acting like this" she scoffed.

"Let me remind you ,Its a fake wedding."

"If its a fake wedding then why did you asked me for a kiss before leaving for Germany" she asked sitting crossed legs beside me.

I really have no answer for that question because I really wanted to kiss her at that moment, I wanted to take her with me, I didn't wanted to leave her behind with Amelia.

But I did anyways, because there was a little bit of trust I had in her, but when I get back, that trust went away as I step a foot in my room.

"You told me to wait for the kiss, I'm still waiting" she said softly grabbing my hand.

I freed my hand and went into the bathroom, to avoid her questions, I'm not really in a mood to argue.

When I came out of the bathroom I saw Faithlynn had switched the TV off, she is really in a mood to talk. She watched my every moment untill I left the room, to go into the kitchen to eat some snacks.

The house was dark and silent, everyone was asleep. I grab a box of ice cream from the fridge and sat on the kitchen Island enjoying the tranquility.

But that tranquility didn't last longer, when I heard a pair of feet descending the stairs.

"You can't ignore me forever, you know?" Faithlynn said standing in front of me.

"I can, leave me alone." I said eating my ice cream.

She snatched the box from my hand and stand in between my legs, keeping the box aside.

"I want my kiss." She demanded, I burst out laughing, almost falling. And jumped off the island.

"You are asking from a wrong person, go ask Amelia." I said seriously.

"God! Rea that was one kiss". She said putting her hand on her head.

"Why didn't you sleep in our room when I was gone." I asked her the question that's been bothering me.

"What?" She asked confused.

"When I came back, the sheets were the same as I left them, everything was in place just like I left them, so I know that you didn't sleep in our room when I was gone, because no one use my room except for you." I said explaining my question and doubts.

"You think I slept in Amelia's room when you were gone?" She asked in disbelief.

"Well yeah. Can you blame me?" I asked

"Oh my god, do you really think I would sleep in someone else's bed when you weren't home?" She asked not believing to what I was imposing.

"If you can kiss someone else in front of Me then what not you could do behind my back?" I spat.

And that's when I felt a Stinging pain on my left cheek. She slapped me. She fucking SLAPPED me.

"How can you say that? How can you think so low of me?" She asked crying, my eyes fixed on her while my fist clenched.

"Do you really think I would do that?" She asked pushing me back. I can't take it. I grabbed her arm, she winced and tried to freed her arms from my grasp.

"Never, I repeat Never slap me again." I warned her, and released her arms from my grasp.

She cried uncontrollably falling on her knees on the floor, I try to control my anger.

Amelia came out of her room, when she saw Faithlynn crying, sitting on the floor she rushed to her, asking if she was okay, she looked at me but said nothing. She hugged Faithlynn, and Faith cried even more, I was just standing there looking at them.

After few minutes of sitting on the floor Amelia help Faithlynn in to her room. Seeing that made my blood boil even more.

Amelia closed the door after taking Faithlynn in, I can still here her cries, I went to the fridge and got a cold water bottle and drank the whole bottle down . And sat on the kitchen counter and continued to eat the ice cream.

After eating a whole box I went into Amelia's room, seeing her laying beside probably sleeping Faithlynn. I didn't think anything and went to her shaking her up.

"What is your problem can't you stay away from my wife to be?" I asked angrily, because she is the reason why Faithlynn had to cry so much. She looked at me groggily. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"Will you stop ignoring her for once and listen to her?" She said in the same tone.

"You, you are the one who is messing with her."

"I'm messing with her?" She scoffed.

"Dude she has been a mess since you left, and even after you came back she is still a mess. You know why? No? May be because she is falling for you." My eyes widen for what she is saying and dragged her out of the room into the kitchen.

"What are you talking about, don't mess with me Amelia." I warned her and she shook her head in disbelief.

"You know when I was with her, I was the happiest I have ever been, when I left I felt like I had left a huge part of me behind, so I came back only for her, even when I got a better job, I still came. But I think it was too late because by the time I came she was already falling for you, and your blind ass can't see it." She said in a serious tone, is she messing with my head? How can Faithlynn love me when I treat her like that.

"No she don't." I countered.

"Well it's up to you to believe it or not and for your answer to the question you asked her is that NO, she didn't sleep in my room, she didn't even step a foot in my room when you were gone. She always would sleep in April's room." She told me.

I didn't say anything and started to walk upstairs when she stopped me.

"You know Rea I'm your friend and Faithlynn's friend too. I don't want to see you both like this. Although I have done some terrible things but now I only want what's best for you two. But, if Faithlynn come back to me, I won't hesitate to take her away from you." She said with a smirk. I nodded and head towards her room. Picking Faithlynn up and taking her into our room.

I placed her on the bed and get in myself. I wiped her still wet cheeks and felt guilty for what I had said. How can I say such things to her, she is so pretty, intelligent, beautiful and kind. How can she fell for a person like me.

I felt so guilty about what I did in the kitchen and how I ignore her for so long, she has been going through shit because of the citizenship thing and I only add on her stress. I'm a pathetic human being I don't deserve her.

I pulled her closed to me, for the first time I cuddle into her side willingly, I dont want her to suffer anymore than she already had, I need to stop feeling things for her because these feelings are the reason why I'm being so jealous, hurt and possessive.

If I stopped these feelings then I might treat her better. I shouldn't have let these feelings free in the first place. They are just jeopardizing my friendship with her. They are doing no good to me or her. I should supress those feelings. And try to be civil with her, only if she forgave me for saying those brutal things.

I'll marry her and do everything she needs me to. I'll ask for her forgiveness because at this time I'm the one at fault.
