Chapter 8

(Possibly Triggering.)

It had already been five days since Wolf came and I’ve been thinking, what was he doing? What type of power source did Madam have? Something about it did not make sense.

I jumped to my closet and pulled out my black shirt and fitted combat pants on. Brushed my hair and slipped out the door down the hallway.

I continued walking and passed Kieran’s office briefly peering in though this time he wasn’t in there. Which was not strange but usually he is always in there doing something. I shrugged it off of course like the usual and kept forward and took the grand staircase but this time went towards the right rather the left which led to the locked front door.

Kieran was smart.

I kept walking forwards that I knew would lead me to a grand solarium that I barely paid attention to but would glance in for a moment.

This time I entered in the hallway to stay and above me were trees that had vines and fallen snow on the ceiling the glass roof dome.

I looked up and around realizing again this place was beautiful. It was like you walked into another unknown world.

As I was almost close to the garden room I felt that instant warmth it was humid but just right to relax in. Which makes sense considering there are plants in there that need to grow. Finally entering into the man-made tropical paradise, I saw the big vine trees looped on tree branches with rose gardens bushes along red and orange bricks with a little waterfall surrounded by more plants and rocks. I staggered around just admiring it, as I would usually look inhale the scent and leave.

Finding a bench in the middle I sat down and looked around. I inhaled again and the room, the water had nice music to it, something someone can relax to and not have to worry about anything.

The garden gave the feeling like I was in a jungle or something. Vines hanging from trees, potted plants that are in their halfway point and flowers to make the atmosphere here be delicious. Some areas were thick with plants while others were built for a walk way.

I arched my head back and stared at the bubble dome above me that was scattered with snow and a bits of sunlight shining through. I closed my eyes for a moment and breathed in the floral scent.

I bent over and rested my elbows on my knees, and closed my eyes wishing this was a dream and just listened. All I heard was the leaves stillness, water dripping in the distance against the stones. After a few seconds I sighed and opened my eyes and just gazed at the huge vine tree that was draping down a few vines, long enough to swing on them.

“Beautiful place isn’t it” Kieran voiced, interrupting my thoughts.

Usually I would jump, but I gotten used to him sneaking up on me and making the feel that he was in control.

I looked to where he was standing, his arms were crossed over his chest and leaning slightly with his head tilted analyzing me like I was a fine piece of art.

I looked away and back at the tree. “Yes, it’s a beautiful place especially since with an ugly winter out” I replied.

He chuckled and relaxed and put his hands into his pockets.

“So,” He started forward slowly. I looked at him again and gave him my common rigid look and he should know it by now, as he ignored it.

“Aside from this place being beautiful, would this ever be place to you would want to be forever living in.” He questioned with a smile. I knew the actual question behind those words.

I cocked my head and gave him my death stare.

“Not in a hell chance, why would I even consider it” I replied.

“hmmm” He pursued his lips together, smiled again.

“Not even if you could have anything you wanted” He chimed amusement.

“No.” I stated again.

He chuckled kept coming towards me with his hands still in the pockets.

“Oh, luv, I surprised you haven’t figured much out yet” he drawled closer.

I leaned back on the bench and watch every move he took so I would be on my guard.

“What is there to figure out when. I have no idea what you are talking about” I replied to him. Honestly sometimes I don’t know where his random questioning came.

“Well you are smart” he taunted me.

“Apparently not your level of brilliance” I replied.

He finally reached me and sat down on the bench beside me. I went rigid not wanting him to touch me, but it was the best I could get away from him, if I walked away he would force me back down.

He chuckled again. “You know you need to relax when I slightly touch you.” He said and smiled somewhat kindly to me.

“Easier said than done, since I don’t like being around you nor do I like ever being touched by you.” I spat at him.

“Easy now love” He moved in little bit closer enough for me to almost feel his body heat.

I wanted to get away so I angle myself enough up against the railing on the side of the bench, it made a slight difference but not enough to get away from him.

“If you just relax into me, everything would be a lot easier.”

“Not a fat chance” I sassed.

He raised his eyebrows at me in surprise.

“Sometimes you surprise me with your back talk” He smirked at me.

“Why should that surprise you? I always back talk to you” that was no surprise.

He smiled and scooted little more towards me, I wished I could get away but he had me in close quarters and I really could not do anything about it. I eventually gave up a little, and allowed him to put his arm around me and I went rigid and tense.

“So, what about this room you like the most?” He asked.

I knew I couldn’t be quiet towards him so I answered. Besides it was a fair question.

“The roses in the garden, they are beautiful” I answered keeping my voice at a toned level.

“Hmm I see” He said slowly nodding his head. “What else do you like about this room?” He continued to ask.

I looked around the room again.

“I am not sure” I said finishing my last look around and took slight peak at Kieran to see where his gaze was. Of course, it was on me and studying me so I am pretty sure he saw me take a quick peak since he smirked.

Since I caught you in the ballroom the other day, would you like to have another grand ball?”

I slowly turned my face to him and I was ready for that smart ass comment.

“Another ball? No I don’t think that is a good idea” keeping it reasonable.

“No?” he inquired “People would attend, from the village it wouldn’t be Red Immortals” he chuckled.

“People or your slaves, considering you already bought them” I strike at him.

He brought his face down to the ground and slowly face me with a death look. It was frightening and I wanted to run away, it was like the same look he gave when I pushed him away when he kissed me at school.

“Careful with your words my dear” He spoke then slowly raised his lips to my ear. “disrespect me and punishment will come, keep remembering that.” He whispered.

His voice sent shivers down my spine and I went even more tense. I knew what it meant to be punished to have no control screaming and fighting him till I went numb. Problem was I didn’t want to listen to him either and luckily I was somewhat able to defend myself. Though he did play his dirty tricks and I would never forget that. Just thinking about it made my neck hurt.

“So, back to usual topics” He said, going back to his devilish smile.

“What usual topics?” I questioned quietly hoping I could leave soon.

“What would you like to talk about”

Was he kidding?

“Hmm I don’t know” I said sarcastically. “How about giving me my freedom? That would be great for starters.”

He laughed again like I said a funny joke.

“Oh, you know I can’t do that” He stated.

“And whys that?” I asked irritated. “It’s a simple question that has simple answers” I continued and waited for his reply.

He kept looking at me and started gazing into my eyes.

“Because you belong to me, therefore you will always be with me” He smiled.

I really hated when he said that.

I snorted. “I don’t belong to you one bit” then crossed my arms over my chest, crossed my legs and looked away.

“Oh, but you do” he said and then I felt his fingers under my chin and pulled my gaze back to him.

His eyes were as red as mine, though overtime I looked into his eyes especially at times like these he always looked possessive which always made me feel uncomfortable. It was the darkness in his eyes.

I waited for him to let go of my chin. After a moment he did.

I got thinking, and looked him straight in the eyes.

“Okay why do I belong to you” I said, with hint of curiosity.

With the questioned he seemed pleased.

“Well because you and I are linked together” He answered smiling like he was satisfied with what he said.

Linked together, I was not really sure what that meant at all.

“Linked? What do you mean by that?” I asked, hoping it wouldn’t be a terrible answer.

He smiled at me again, looking satisfied.

“There is something about you that wants me to be closer to you, its like I need you to complete me or something. I am surprised you don’t feel the same unless you are hiding it” He inquired.

“I feel you are speaking gibberish, and so what if I feel the same…it does not mean anything.” I added irritated.

He leaned back into the bench again and spoke like he knew something I did not.

“There is something about you” He paused letting me crinkle my eyebrows together, “That I cannot let go of, I cling to you, I want you and I am still trying to figure out why I have a connection to you. Meaning I can never let you go” He said. Then waited for me to reply, but all I did was just stare at him.

“There really not much else to say about it considering that we were to be together, I will make sure of it. Darkness always find a way” He smirked.

Then without holding my tongue. “Light always finds a way too… and it always defeats darkness” I countered.

Kieran arch his eyebrow at me, and corner of his lip curled, it was as I assumed him with my saying.

“Yes…” He spoke slowly, “Light does always find a way” Then he shifted and hunched over his legs resting his elbows on his knees with his chin resting on his intwined together hands. Letting his burning hot touched escape and I gratefully welcomed the cool air again.

“But back to the topic, you see we are linked together, therefore we belong together.” He repeated without even looking at me.

I bit the inside of my lip, I wanted to hurt him so badly, I wanted to run away. I shot up and shouted at him.

“I will never belong to you nor will I ever be yours! I do not belong to anyone, only man I want right now is Wolf who treated me with respect more than you have,”

I turned my back to him and started for the hallway. Though he caught my wrist and spun me around to face him, then his hands were around my waist and he cornered my back to the brick wall, enclosing both arms around me.

I was trapped and was looking straight in to his dark lustful red eyes.

“Don’t you ever dare say those words again, and you don’t belong to a filthy animal” He sneered, and without warning his lips met mine and hard. Felt like sandpaper trying to destroy the lips.

(Possibly Triggering.)

I didn’t know why but my both of my arms went up placing themselves on his chest. This made him dig deeper into my mouth. His hands were now on my hips forcing me to come closer to him while pressing me into the wall.

I wanted out, it was like razor blades against me but if I made that one mistake and it could cost me a night of safety.

Without warning his tongue darted into my mouth, which made me flinch and try forcing my head away but he was too strong. His tongue explored my mouth.

He was just too strong. I wanted to fight but I knew I was too weak.

Then before I could think I felt a surge of energy in my body, my hands were still on his chest and I took a chance.

I thought of air and fire and felt the energy flow through me and out my hands casting Kieran to be blasted away from me into the air and plant right into the bush disappearing.
