Kimberly's pov

Zach turned his head and looked at Lynn. I could see that he was somewhat relieved that she spoke his truth for him. He took a few deep breaths, lifted his head, and looked me dead in my eyes. I caught myself also catching my breath, to the anticipation of what he would tell me.

Because truth be told, I didn't know why I was here, nor did I know the reasons leading up to my capture.

What?

Honestly, I can't see myself being mad at him if he did all this for his sister. The love that a sibling has for each other, especially for me. It's the same love you would have between a mother and a child.

Before he explained himself, I could see my walls crumbling, layer by layer, easing the weight off my shoulders, and making me less angry than I was 15 minutes ago.

He looked at me again, dead in my eyes, and I was lost for words. I didn't know what else to say except scream at him to speak. This whole process of telling me what happened took so long to explain; just spit it out.

He could tell I was irritated, so he spoke, finally breaking the ice. "I could tell you my side of the story, but I would rather you hear from my sister. I could tell you the reasons why he did it, but I can't tell you how he did it. He confided more in my little sister than in me" Then he looked at Lynn, waiting for her to finish explaining.

"I'm sure she doesn't want to relive her getting kidnapped again," I argued wanting him to talk.

She raised her hand in defense and said "No, it's fine. I could tell you my side; I could even tell you his side."

She sighed and drank a glass of the water in front of her from breakfast and finally gained the courage to speak again.

"So about 6 months ago I was at school..."

Flashback Lynn's POV

My classes were pretty boring today. It was getting closer to the end of the year, so I didn't expect much trouble from my teachers. I was passing all my classes, definitely doing my part towards getting an educational scholarship because, honestly, I haven't shifted it into a wolf yet.

So all my speed and stuff were basic jumping skills, basic running paces. At this point, I feel more human than a wolf. Anyway, as I go to the halls, I'm headed towards my 6th period Mr Howard classroom, and I notice somebody standing down the hall, towards the girl's and boys' bathrooms.

It looked like Zach was arguing with some man, but I couldn't tell. Zach didn't involve me with the wolf business because I technically wasn't a wolf yet.

So I stayed, studied, and lived around humans, at least until I became a wolf to them. So with me being nosy, I slowly walk over there, creeping trying to eavesdrop on the conversation.

Saint was speaking once I started listening. "Have you got it done yet?"

"No, haven't I almost got it done? I figured out where I was going to go. just give me some time to go there and check to see if you know. If it's not, we'll just go to a different pack. We'll find out before the end of the year, tops."

"You don't have that type of time." spit Saint,

"you only have 90 days? Get it done because I know what you are, and I know what your sister will become. I'm not dumb" he threatened while starting to shake.

"OK, I'll get it done; just leave her out of it," Zach said honestly begging at this point.

Zach loved me, even though I was his sister. I was his only sister. He would do anything for me, so if I were brought up in an argument, he would lay his life down for me.

Period.

Regardless of whether it was a petty bet or something serious, like life or death. I could always depend on my brother to hold me down and have my back, and that's why of made my decision.

I stepped out from my hiding place, and I said, "take me. I'll let you take me if you don't hurt my brother."

Zach looked surprised that I was there, and So did saint. then he switched to a plain look on his face before he spoke.

"Who died as made you queen?" he said laughing at my request straight out.

"No-nobody I'm just trying to help. I'll come willingly if you don't hurt my brother please" I say while starting to cry, no bawl in front if this stranger and my brother.

So embarrassing!

My heart hurt just thinking of life with out my sibling, like we did most things together Eat, play Xbox, we even went camping for a few summers. He was my protector and now I needed to protect him.

It was his turn to be saved.

Saint just looked at me for about 120 seconds. Then he spoke finally.

"If you want to save him for now, fine. I'll be taking you with me, but if he doesn't come up with anything valuable in the next 90 days. This WILL be the last time you'll see him."

Then he grabbed me in one swift motion and walked down the hall towards the school's side entrance. All I could hear was Zach in the background, While hanging from this man's arm.

"I'll do anything else; I'll do anything PLEASE"

as we walk through the doors. Saint said something before he left.

"What's done is done, the cake has been baked. It's up to you if your going to eat that cake with a glass of milk or are you going to eat that cake with a glass of piss?" while laughing like a madman.

Saint then walked off towards his car with me in tow, Leaving Zach devastated at the emergency exit of my highschool....................

I guess it's something deeper going on with Saint, what does he know...seems like something ain't adding up we all know Zach is Special like Maxine and Max JR. Hmmmmmmmm? 🤔🥴😮‍💨
