Chapter 82 

Julian helped Alexandra get down from the car when they arrived. Frank held the wheelchair and waited by the side. 

Coincidentally, this scene was seen by Martha, who had accompanied her friend to have an abortion. 

Martha saw the familiar face of the girl who got out of the car from afar. When she got closer, she realized that it was Alexandra. 

She thought, “Why does the man beside her look so familiar? 

“That’s right! It is the man who helped me drink at the Walters family’s opening ceremony! 

“Julian Ranford! The most influential person in Highclere City’s business world!” 

She only found out later that the man was Julian. In the past, she only cared about eating, drinking, and chasing men. She had never paid attention to the business world.

Julian and Frank were about to leave after sending Alexandra home. 

Frank said to Alexandra, who was sitting on the sofa and looking at her feet, when Julian went to the study to get the documents before they had to leave, “Ms. Doherty, this is the first time since I’ve seen Mr. Ranford skip work on Monday.” 

Alexandra looked up. “He skipped work because he had something on. I saw him working in the study early in the morning” 

Frank smiled. Alexandra did not understand what he meant. 

He wanted to say that Julian had skipped work to bring her to change her dressing. 

Frank was not as talkative as Marco, so he stopped talking halfway. 

After Julian came down, they left.. 

Of course, Julian did not go to the company. Instead, he went to look for Carson. 

The new company had just been established, and it was a securities investment company. Thus, Mr. Walters sent Carson to stabilize the company’s 

affairs.

He had just finished reading the information about all the new employees when Julian arrived at his office.

Julian continued to read the document.

Carson squinted and picked up his coffee. “Mr. Ranford, you’re a little strange. You haven’t told me why you want to mess with the Connolly family” 

Jullan did not even look up. “I don’t like the Connolly family” 

Carson almost spat out his coffee. 

“Tsk, tsk tsk…” Carson shook his head and said, “Anyone you don’t like will be done for.” 

Julian got off work a little late today as he went to the office late. 

Alexandra was almost bored to death in the villa. She could not tell anyone that she was recuperating in the villa. 

She was so depressed. 

Later in the afternoon, the sun became less harsh and the weather got cooler. 

Alexandra held onto the wheelchair and hopped out of the villa, wanting to go out for a breath of fresh air. 

The residences of the rich were indeed different. 

There was a huge distance between every building in the villa area. There were rockeries, flowing water, and patches of gardens. 

The green grass was like a carpet, and the air was filled with the smell of clean plants. 

The swelling on Alexandra’s left foot had subsided a little. She was wearing a pair of slippers and holding the handle of the wheelchair with both hands as she pushed it forward. 

She could tread lightly on the ground. There were not many passersby in the neighborhood, so she did not have to worry about being laughed at. 

Julian’s villa was surrounded by many hydrangeas and roses. Alexandra looked at them as she walked, feeling extremely envious. 

She would never be able to afford such a great villa in her life. 

However, she felt that her life was worth it now that she could stay here for a few days thanks to Julian. 

At that thought, she suddenly heard a familiar voice behind her. “Alexandra.” 

It was Julian’s voice. 

Alexandra held the wheelchair with both hands and turned around. She saw that Julian was still dressed as he was before. His dark blue suit jacket 

was draped over his arm. 

He had come home wanting to see her. However, he saw her hobbling along alone in her wheelchair when he turned the corner into the garden. 

Alexandra’s blue dress fluttered in the breeze, along with a few strands of her long hair. 

She greeted, “Mr. Ranford.” 

Julian walked toward her and glanced at her feet first. 

“Why did you come out by yourself?” His tone was gentle instead of blaming her. 

Alexandra said, “I wanted to get some fresh air. I can walk a little now. Look, I can walk on my own with the wheelchair.” 

She raised her chin proudly. 

Julian’s heart was filled with the early autumn wind and the fragrance of roses. 

He looked at her silently for a moment, then said to her, “Sit down. I’ll push you away” 

“There’s no need, Mr. Ranford.” 

“Come on.” 

Without any explanation, Julian grabbed the armrest of the wheelchair. Alexandra loosened her grip and almost lost control. She grabbed Julian’s arm fiercely. 

Julian had strong muscles. Alexandra felt as if she was holding a mountain when she held them.. 

Julian turned the wheelchair around and helped her sit down. 

Alexandra’s face turned red as she thought, “Wow, I must really be amazing to be able to get the busy CEO to push my wheelchair for a walk!” 

Sitting in the wheelchair, Alexandra felt as if a thousand pairs of eyes were observing her. 

Although there was no one around the two of them. 

Julian put his coat on the back of the wheelchair and pushed Alexandra to the small square at the side. 

The more luxurious the villa area, the more deserted it was. 

For example, there were badminton courts and playgrounds in this small square with green trees and red flowers, but only a few children were playing 

there. 

Julian parked Alexandra beside the flower pond and asked her, “It’s not too cold here. You can rest here for a while.”
