Catori glanced at one of the reflective walls to see that her body was large with red scales with clawed feet, and huge purple and green wings growing from her back.

″Good, now that you have done that. Let’s see if you can transform back into your human form,″ Rydstorm said up to her.

″Now how do I do that?″ She questioned herself.

″Just picture yourself as human again,″ her dragon counterpart told her.

When Catori did as she was told, she felt another rush of wind. Watching as things went back to normal.

″That was amazing. You did it on your first try. I wish I could do the same.″ Alice pouted.

Catori gave a wide smile. ″Don’t worry, I’m sure that with practice you will transform into your dragon soon.″

Alice nodded, now having a look of determination on her face.

″Now that I can shift, what about my powers?″ Catori asked.

″Don’t worry about those, once bonded with your dragon, they will come naturally,″ Rydstorm told her. He had a look on his face as he spoke.

“What?″ Catori asked, wondering why he was looking at her like that.

Instead of answering, he looked towards Fang, whose eyes were all over the place to avoid his.

″It’s best to tell her now, makes no sense hiding anything from our Queen,″ Winona told her brother.

″Tell me what?″ Catori urged.

“You are a Uruloki,″ Rydstorm told her, as if he expected her to just know what that was.

″I guess that is a bad thing.″

“Yes and no, but it sure does changes things.″

″Can you just tell me what is happening instead of beating around the bush?″

Before Rydstorm could say anything, one of his soldiers came in. He bowed before addressing his King.

″Sir, there is a human who requests your presence.″

Rydstorm pinched the bridge of his nose because he had no time for those pests now.

″Fang, Winona. Please take care of that. Catori, let’s go back to our chambers so we can speak about other matters.″

Fang hissed, but he and Winona went to see what the human wanted.

″Amica mea.″ Rydstorm held his hand out for his bride to take.

When they were in the privacy of their room, Catori gestured for him to start talking.

″A Uruloki dragon. The most feared of them all, this changes all we thought we knew about Nightwing.″

″My father? But why?″

“Just to give you a history of Urulokis, they are the dragons humans wrote about and put in movies because of how ruthless they are. They kill without reason or cause. Just one can wipe out an entire village in minutes. Urulokis are the ultimate killing machines and possess the ability to control all the elements instead of just one.″

″But what does this have to do with my father? Because he would never do anything like that,″ Catori defended.

″I know Catori, from what I have heard. Your father was a great King, or else he wouldn’t be so highly exalted. I was only shocked to see your dragon because of the type of dragon I thought he was.″

″Oh.″

″The only thing I fear is that our people might not be so accepting if they should see your other form, but you are their Queen, so they have to.″

Catori laughed. ″So, I’m able to fly, spit fire and all those things?″

Rydstorm raised a brow at her. ″Why are you so excited about being a dragon?″

“Because ever since I was a child, I had an inkling that they were real and now to find all this out and to be one as well.″

Rydstorm pulled her to him. ″That must have been because deep down you knew what you were.″

Catori reached up to kiss Rydstorm. He snaked his arms around her waist, deepening the kiss. He moved from her lips, trailing kisses to her neck, causing her to shiver.

Catori held onto his arms, giving his strong biceps a squeeze. Rydstorm made a rumbling sound in the back of his throat before lifting Catori and bringing her to their bed.
