The knocking sound brought Sally back from her thoughts. She wiped away her tears, stood up, and once again became the strong person with a hardened shell. 

“Come in.” 

Kim entered the room, holding some documents. “Teacher Join, Alex just brought these cases. Mr. Logan wants you to…‘ handle them.” 

Kim carefully placed a stack of documents on the desk. 

“I understand,” Sally said, looking at the thick stack of papers with a calm expression. 

She wasn’t surprised by Howard’s actions. 

In his current state of anger, how could he easily let her off? 

“Well… well… Teacher Join, if there’s nothing else, I’ll leave 

first.” 

“Okay!” Sally nodded. 

Kim turned to leave but couldn’t help but glance back at Sally. 

Sally had been keeping her head down, focused on her work, making it impossible to discern any expression on her face. 

With the stack of documents in front of her, Sally quickly skimmed through them. These were cases that needed to be dealt with soon.

After making a call to Scarlet, Sally immersed herself in her 

work. 

Only work could make her forget the unpleasant things and prevent her from dwelling on idle thoughts.

Jeremy frowned, his eyes filled with worry and concern. “Can a bump on the forehead cause it to be like that? Besides, every time you lie, your eyes avoid contact.” 

“I’m really fine, let’s go.” Sally adopted a nonchalant attitude and pulled Jeremy into the car. 

Seeing her like this, Jeremy didn’t ask further, but he felt deeply disappointed.

outsider. 

Upstairs, Howard stood by the window, watching the scene. below. Sinister eyes seemed to be covered with a layer of frost, emitting a chilling aura. 

“Alex, find out who that man is for me.” 

“Yes!” Alex replied nervously from the side.
