Seeing Sophie's expression, James thought she was jealous. He took Sophie's hand and said, "When I saw her in her school uniform, giving water to a stray cat, I developed a sudden soft spot for her. After asking, I found out she was one of the students Burke International was supporting, so I paid a bit more attention to her."

Sophie lowered her gaze. His reason was the same as in her past life.

"I just thought she had potential. If she could work at Burke International in the future, it would be like nurturing a fine talent for the company.
