"Even if you need to read the will, we don't need outsiders here. Mr. Stahl, Nigel has nothing to do with Sarah. Sleeping with him a few times doesn't count. If she insists on getting paid, we can pay her a thousand for each time she slept with him."

The insult was distasteful and Robert felt extremely awkward to be put on the spot.

Bianca felt pleased to see the suppressed anger on Anne's face and said, "Mom, we all know about it, so why bother saying it out loud? It's so embarrassing.”

She was clearly implying that it was embarrassing for Anne and was being sarcastic about it. "That's the thing, though. Both Sarah and Anne are mentioned in the will," Robert said.

"What?" Dorothy lost her senses. "Sarah, too?"

"Yes."

Both Dorothy and Bianca glared daggers at Anne, who was surprised as well.

It made sense that she was to inherit a portion of her father's property because she was his daughter, but her mother was not legally bound to Nigel in any way.

Bianca kept Dorothy down and said, "Dad is a responsible man. He feels guilty for bumping her and going back to Mom, so it's normal that he wants to compensate her."

Bianca could not care less about the small profits so she could simply think of it as paying off a few beggars.

Understanding what her daughter meant, Dorothy held her composure.

In the room next door, Anne waited by the door alone for her mother to arrive.

Her Mom hurried over and asked, "What happened? Why did you ask me here? Your dad is fine, right? Why are they reading his will all of a sudden? What's going on?"

"Dad is fine. Let's hear what the lawyer has to say. The lawyer said that you are one of the beneficiaries.”

After entering the room, Anne and Sarah sat down.

Robert cleared his throat, “Let us begin. According to Mr. Faye's will, all real estates under his name are to be inherited by Sarah Vallois, while Anne Vallois will inherit his company and all funds tied to it. The mansion he lived in and all savings in his bank account will go to Bianca Faye."

Dorothy, Bianca, Anne and Sarah were all stunned, even Anthony was taken by surprise.

Dorothy jumped on her feet and said, "How can that be what's written on his will? Did you read it wrong? You have to be mistaken. I'm his wife and Bianca is his favorite daughter! Who are these two to him?"

Robert showed her the paperwork and said, "Everything Mr. Faye said is here. You can read them yourselves if you don't trust me.”

Before Dorothy could reach for it, Bianca snatched it over and read through the words, her expression darkening as she read.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she was stunned.

Anne and Sarah looked at one another in shock.

Just as Dorothy had mentioned, it was obvious to anyone who would be inheriting his wealth and Anne could hardly compare to Bianca when she was merely an illegitimate child. However, not only had Nigel leave Anne and Sarah with most of what he had, he left Dorothy out of his will altogether.
