Chapter 475

Bianca returned home and threw the branded handbag in her hand across the room.

Dorothy went and helped to pick the handbag up. "Don't get upset. It's not worth it."

"Are you not upset? Anne didn't die! She is alive!”

"I saw that.” Dorothy, too, was trembling in a fury. "Do you really believe that she was abducted?" Bianca scowled. "Why do you insist on believing she was sneaking around with a guy?"

"Why else would she look unharmed? There's no harm in thinking of all possibilities.”

"Are you saying that she was with Anthony?" Bianca asked darkly.

"Not really. I just don't think that this whole thing is this simple.”

Bianca fell onto the couch angrily in disappointment. Anne remained a concern to her, and she had no clue when she would be free of Anne.

The police paid Anne a visit to ask a few questions before leaving.

Nigel was the one who called the police.

There had to be an outcome after Anne was abducted and after all the effort spent looking for her. Anne described the facial features of the driver, but the driver was more or less a stranger to her, and picturing his face was different from describing it with words, so it was difficult for the police to find the driver based on her description alone.

"There's no hurry. We will find him," Nigel consoled her.

"It's not very likely. It seemed like he had no pattern in his actions. I didn't see anything other than his face.”

"This is exactly why we need to make sure that your new apartment is ready as soon as possible. This area just isn't safe.” Nigel planned to urge the workers to hurry the process along.

'I can't move in right away even if they are done, right? The apartment would smell at first."

"I've found the safest, most natural way of renovating your apartment, of course. You can move in right away."

Anne's heart sank.

She did not want to move in so quickly as Anthony was her neighbor.

"Why don't I arrange for you to stay in a hotel for these few days? I'm just really worried.” Nigel scowled. "We haven't caught the kidnapper, and if he shows up again..."

"Dad, I'll be fine. That guy isn't bold enough to rob the same person again. Besides, the police have stationed a few people around this area, right? If he dares to show up, he won't be able to escape,” Anne said.

Nigel was still concerned, but Anne did not wish for him to arrange a different place for her to stay, mostly because she already knew what had truly happened.

“Dad, don't worry. This happened mainly because I got into a stranger's car. * Anne had already mentioned to Nigel that she thought Lucas had sent his driver to pick her up.

“Have you contacted Lucas?"

"I did, but I told him not to come here.”

"Why not? He hasn't been to the academy in the past few days and spent days and nights searching for you. I can tell how worried he has been.”

Anne lowered her head. "I guess... It's not meant to be between him and me. This happened as soon as we were about to meet for a meal.” "Why are you being so superstitious? It's just an accident.”
