“Did I come at the wrong time?”

to come here often and delay work. It would make me feel bad.”

Elisa watched how close Gareth and Linda were and smirked.

in a gentle tone, “Work is not as important as you.”

done so much for you. It seems you will be crying all your life.”

Her words were full of mockery but she made it sound casual. Linda turned to Elisa and said

awkwardly, “I’m… I’m sorry.”

She quickly let go of Gareth’s arm and did not dare to grab onto him as before.

Just now, she was able to cling to Gareth by pretending to be caught in the heat of the moment. But

Elisa’s words forced her to feign realization. Otherwise, it would seem like Linda deliberately held onto

Gareth’s arm. She did not want him to suspect her.
