Forest and I had been on edge with Aiden being fifty-one days away from his due date. It was so hard for me to stay away from him while doing paperwork. I didn’t realize exactly how much work was needed to run the pack. I was so thankful to Ailith for picking up more slack. She was doing a majority of Aiden’s work because I didn’t want him to stress over it, it wasn’t good for the baby. Plus, we agreed that one of us needed to be with Galaxy since we were all still adjusting to having her.

Ailith slammed down a piece of paper into the ‘done’ pile with a sigh. Before I could ask her what was up, Sam walked through the open door. I smiled and said, “Hey man, how’s the Dad life?”

“I feel like I should be asking you that. You’re the one with a toddler. Jamie is such an easy baby; they almost never cry.” He said as he sat down next to AIlith.

“Galaxy is a sweetheart. I’m surprised that we aren’t experiencing any of the ’terrible twos yet. Actually, we were having dinner and-”

“Yea, no. I’m going to stop you right there. If I don’t you won’t stop talking for an hour. No more dad talk.” Ailith said while putting a hand up to stop me.

“Last time was only 45 minutes so ha!” I said sticking my tongue out at her.

Ailith rolled her eyes at me and turned to Sam. “So, what brings ya here?”

“It’s my old Alpha. He’s been trying to call me. I’ve changed my phone number three times, but he somehow keeps getting it. I don’t know what to do. He absolutely cannot find out about Jamie or Jordan being my mate.”

“That is an issue. I don’t think me talking to him would help, that would make it worse.”

“I’m already grateful to you for taking me and Jordan in. But if you can help at all with this, I would owe you, my life.” He said as he put his hand on his chest.

“No need for the dramatics. I’ll talk with Aiden tonight about it, he is good with problem-solving.”

“I’m home!” I called out as I walked into the apartment. Galaxy’s head snapped up from the TV to look at me. She gave me a big grin as she climbed off the couch and ran to me.

I picked her up and held her over my head causing her to shriek in laughter. I brought her down to have her on my hip as I walked further into the apartment to look for my mate.

I walked into the kitchen and saw Aiden and that winged asshole making brownies. I walked up behind Aiden and tapped his ass before dragging my hand over his body until my hand was on his swollen stomach.

“How was your day love?”

“It was alright, online classes are difficult when I have to zoom with teachers while baking without showing my stomach or Hami. Thankfully I don’t have to hide Galaxy.”

“How about I order us a pizza for dinner? We can watch a movie together.” I asked causing Aiden to gasp.

“Oo can I get honey barbeque wings too? And cheesy bread!!” He asked as his eyes shone.

“Of course, Sugar. Anything you want, you get.”
