Chapter 333 Being Obedient

Chapter 333 Being Obedient

Hearing Faye questioning, the person on the other end of the phone chuckled contemptuously, "Ms. Nash, I don't know what you're talking about. It's New Year's Day today, but I can't go back because I am inspecting the backcountry. Are you working overtime too?"

Hearing Bonnie's slightly smug voice, Faye said coldly, "If you are not a fool, tell the artists that they'd better not do anything there. If they want to help, they are only allowed to do things within their power." Bonnie didn't care, so she said, "What does it have to do with me?"

Faye warned, "If anything goes wrong, both you and they will be fired."

Before Bonnie could reply, she hung up the phone and then frowned slightly.

When she was deep in thought, the door of the lounge was pushed open from the outside.

Faye raised her eyes and saw Colin coming in with a glass of lukewarm water. He asked, "Are you awake?"

She nodded her head.

He handed her the water, rubbed her earlobe, and asked, "What are you thinking?"

Faye took a sip of the water in the glass and asked, "Do you know about the snow disaster in Roxford?"

Colin sat down on the bed and said honestly, "Robert just reported it to me."

Faye said, "Six artists went there."

Colin said, "You don't need to worry about those idiots."

Faye said, "I'm not worried about them causing trouble for themselves. I'm afraid people would make an issue of their fool deeds on purpose and criticize the company."

Colin smiled indifferently, "It's not a big deal."

Faye looked at him, gave the water glass back, and said sternly, "But it's my job."

Colin suddenly laughed, "If only all the managers of the company were as conscientious as you."

Faye and Colin looked at each other in silence for a while. Then, she looked around but did not see her clothes. So, she picked up his shirt from the bed, put it on, stretched her legs, and got out of bed. As soon as her feet reached the floor, the bell on her ankle made a crisp sound.

Faye immediately blushed and subconsciously retracted her legs.

Seeing this, Colin laughed in a deep voice, hooked his arm around her slender waist, pressed her into his arms, and said, "Honey."

Faye changed the subject with a flushed face, asking, "Are there new toiletries in the bathroom?"

Although Colin saw her through, he did not expose her but replied with a smile, "Yes."

She then said, "Let go of me. I'll go to wash up first."

Colin calmly admired the scenery at her collar and below the hem of the shirt and said solemnly, "No wonder so many men like to watch their women wear their shirts." Faye was speechless, but he smirked, "You look sexy."

Then, he carried her onto the bed, took the bell off her ankle, and then put it back on his wrist.

Seeing him tie a fast knot, Faye couldn't help asking, "Why are you wearing it?"

Colin said, "Because it reminds me of you."

Faye said, "You should not have tied a fast knot. It will be troublesome if you want to take it off, right?"

Colin fiddled with the bell with his slender fingers and said, "I tied a fast knot because I don't want to lose it. Anyway, I know how to undo the knot. Last time, I tied a fast knot too." Hearing this, Faye couldn't help thinking of what had happened last night.

What she had learned was useless, but Colin had somehow learned some new tricks. He had practiced what he had learned with her and gotten a deeper understanding.

Faye became shy at the thought of such things, so she pushed him away, got down from the bed, and went into the bathroom.

After a while, the sound of her taking a shower came out.

Colin let out a muffled laugh with a doting look in his eyes while sitting on the edge of the bed.

Half an hour later, Faye came out of the bathroom.

Colin pointed to the shopping bag on the bedside table and said, "Change the clothes. We will go home to have lunch with Aunt Carlotta."

Faye stepped forward and found the shopping bag was full of new clothes.

Faye picked it up and walked toward the bathroom, asking, "Don't we need to go back to the mansion of the Farrells?"

Colin said solemnly, "There is no need to go back."

Faye nodded, "I will get changed soon."

A few minutes later, she came out in the new clothes and handed Colin his shirt.

He took it over and put it on. While buttoning the shirt, he said, "Don't go back to the mansion of the Farrells recently. Even if they call you, you just need to make excuse to turn them down." Faye nodded, "Got it."

Colin deliberately left two buttons unfastened. When he adjusted his collar, he looked untamed and charming. Then, he teased, "Honey, why are you so obedient now?"
