Jared looked up and stood when he saw Valeria, “Valeria, you’re here.” 

Valeria came in and spotted the little boy sleeping on the couch, and her face broke into a soft smile, “What’s it like to suddenly have a son to yourself?” 

Jared, looking quite pleased, said honestly, “I feel blessed.” 

Valeria teased, “You’ve been acting like the world owe you for the past four years, and now you say you’re blessed. Men are so fickle.” 

Jared laughed, “What brings you here?”

Jared took the card, “Valeria, thank you.”
