Chapter 3 See You at the Courthouse

Renee’s nose sweated. She explained embarrassedly, “N-nothing.”

“What did you hide? What’s your trick?”

Quincy bent and stretched out to get her bag.

She stepped back at once, and her head hit his chin. He moaned. The bag was turned, and things in the bag dropped out.

They fell silent.

Quincy glanced at the tampons and was awkward. He was surprised.

Renee was extremely nervous because she had the pregnancy test stick in her hand.

Quincy frowned. “Get out. Do you want to stay with me when I use the toilet?”

She was awkward, bent to pick up her bag, and left.

She asked for leave and went to the hospital for a checkup.

The results showed that she was pregnant.

The doctor glanced at her. “The baby is good. Do you want to keep it?”

She was pregnant!

“Yes.” She was determined.

“Yes.”

Quincy closed his eyes. The woman took off her robe. She is only in a bikini, revealing her good shape.

Renee saw her lean against him with a shy expression. What would happen next was obvious.

Her heart ached. Then she recalled that he had sex with her but mistook her for another woman.

Even if she told him that she was pregnant, he would not believe that he was the father of the baby.

Renee touched her belly and cried. She thought, “Sorry. I have to keep the secret for your sake.”

She left the spring pool and texted Quincy: “See you at the Courthouse at 9 a.m.”

His phone rang by the pool.

Quincy opened his eyes and checked the message. Then his face turned cold. “Heh!”

He didn’t expect her to be so urgent.

Quincy thought, “Are you playing hard to get again?”

Lisa saw the message and smiled proudly.

A month ago, her brother planned to force Quincy to divorce Renee by threatening him. However, Quincy managed to destroy all the evidence.

Then it went nowhere.

Since Quincy didn’t put it on the table, Lisa decided to make Renee take the first step.

She pretended to be considerate.

“Quincy, I can explain to your wife. She must be angry and doesn’t know what she is doing. Girls don’t really want to end the relationships when they say so. She just wants you to comfort her. Don’t take it seriously. She doesn’t want to get divorced.”
