Chapter 443 A Mysterious Woman Helped Him

"Zenith, it's been a long time since we have seen each other!"

At that point in time, a clear female voice called out of nowhere. Her voice was soft, but it reached everyone despite its softness. The voice was surrounded by the strong innate power released by Zenith and the Shadow King as they kept fighting violently. Normally, one's voice could hardly be heard by others during such a fierce fight, unless the owner of the voice was carrying a great power. Before the voice faded, a woman in black appeared.

There was a clear, clean, distant, yet elegant momentum surrounding her. She had long hair that rippled in the breeze. She looked so pure; she was just like a lotus that was born in the dirty mud, yet kept itself clean and pure.

She wore nothing but black clothes, and her face was rather pretty. Any grown man would feel his heart beat faster when he looked at her.

The lady was somehow reminiscent of Helen of Troy because she was someone whom men would be willing to go to war for.

After she showed up, she floated in the air near the battle and threw out her attack that turned out to be a flushing palm. It shot forward quickly. Wherever it passed, both Zenith's and the Shadow King's Ultimate Domains retreated backwards accordingly.

Her big palm attack quickly disappeared too. When it was nowhere to be seen, Zenith, who was a bloody mess, appeared beside the woman. As for the Shadow King, he was beaten back by the woman's palm and launched backwards from them.

This sudden change shocked everyone who was watching. None of them had ever expected that someone would interfere in the fight.

"Cheryl! What brings you here?" Zenith asked, his voice breaking the short silence.

Watching the woman in front of him, he felt nothing but surprise. The woman was the last person he would ever imagine to see there. It was shocking that she had come and saved him! It brought tremendous shock to Zenith, because the place that she lived was too far away from him for her to get there.

There was more to the situation, however. The relationship between the two of them was somewhat awkward-- they were lovers and enemies at the same time. Of course, that complicated relationship was only known to them.

There was a sense of affection in Zenith's eyes which could hardly be identified. Likewise, the woman also stared at him with seemingly affectionate eyes.

"I said once that no one would be allowed to kill you except me. Don't you remember that?" the woman replied in an indifferent tone

upon hearing Zenith's question.

"Do any of you know who this woman is? Master Grace? Elder Evan?" Ricky asked with curiosity in his eyes. Disbelief was written all over his face. Meanwhile, he still felt very relieved that Zenith was saved by her. Ricky was certain, from the attack the woman just performed, that she was in no way weaker than the Shadow King.

Although she claimed that no one could kill Zenith but her, Ricky did not detect any murderous intent from her. She had just saved Zenith from the Shadow King's strike after all.

What was more, from their complicated and affectionate eyes, Ricky could tell something was not right between them.

"Well, I have no idea at all," Elder Evan replied as he shook his head.

Grace also shrugged her shoulders in response. She was also clueless as to who the woman was. "She is probably Chief Zenith's lover and enemy,” Soar blurted out without thinking too much about it. He was not that well versed in how to act when it came to that kind of situation.

Ricky and the others immediately shot him a serious look

as soon as he finished saying that.

Zenith seemed to be a little bit helpless when he heard what the woman said. Meanwhile, he sighed in relief to himself. He would not have to fight against the Shadow King while being at a disadvantage anymore at least.

He had not seen that woman in years. He knew that her power was no weaker than the Shadow King at the least though.

"May I know your name and where you're from?" the Shadow King asked politely as he watched her carefully. There was no more arrogance in his voice at that point. Instead, he showed respect towards the woman.

"Cheryl Zhang," the woman replied in a distant voice. "You want to kill this man?"

Before her voice faded, the aura emitting from Cheryl Zhang immediately shot out and transformed into an invisible strike, shooting towards the Shadow King in an attempt to overwhelm him.

The Shadow King, of course, would not stay still in its path waiting for death. He also concentrated his internal power and formed a protective aura to try to resist her attack.

The next moment, the energy around them broke out. Then, the Shadow King took three steps backwards. Cheryl Zhang did not step back at all; her body just shook a bit from the strain.

After that bout, the Shadow King's face grew darker. Through that bout, he could tell that the woman's strength was definitely no weaker than his. What was worse was that she seemed to be a little bit stronger than him.

"So, you want to protect him?" the Shadow King asked.

"No one can kill him except for me. He is mine,” Cheryl Zhang replied.

"I will see you again some other day, but now I must take my leave.” Upon hearing Cheryl Zhang's reply, the Shadow King bade goodbye without thinking twice. Then, he sent a signal to Boris and his men indicating that it was time to leave before he tore a portal open and left immediately.

He wanted to kill Zenith very much and take Ricky away very much too, but he understood that as long as that woman was there to support his enemies, he would never be able to touch Zenith or Ricky. If he forced a fight, there was a high probability that he would lose something dear to him Seeing that the Shadow King was already leaving, Boris and the others did not want to stay there any longer either. They immediately retreated as well.

"All right! This is the end of the drama today. Let's leave and go back to our homes!" Elder Evan decided after a while

Hearing Elder Evan's words, the others exchanged looks before they headed for their own rooms. Ricky secretly transferred a message to Elder Evan, Elder Lucia, Elder Abbott, Elder Mateo, and Elder Samuel, indicating that he wanted them to stay with him for a while.

Upon receiving Ricky's message, the five elders went to his room.
