Fenrir POV

“I have enough rest or two days now so when is the rest of the competition going to start,” Draca whined as I walked into the royal hall. When I entered, only the lords and a few werewolves were in attendance. Since angelica was on lockdown after th stunt, she pulled it three days before. If not for her father’s position as one of the lords, I would have removed her from her position as the proposed Luna queen. Her attitude was uncalled for and she had no right in going after Lorena. As I walked among the lords, they all stared at me and murmured amongst themselves. I frowned at them wondering what they all had to say.

Bunch of fools, I must say.

“your highness,” Romeo bowed as I walked towards the golden chair at the center of the room. “We've been waiting for an hour,” he said and I knew that he was trying to inform me about my lateness but I ignored him, pretending that I didn’t hear anything he said.

“When is it starting?” I asked.

“since we've been waiting for you for over an hour now. We shall now...” I cut him off before he could finish. I was not in the right mood to argue with him.

“Do you want me to cut off his tongue?” Draca requested and laughed like a maniac enjoying himself while I suffered in silence. Ignoring him like I usually do, I turned to face the lords.

“let it begin right now; I ordered them. The lords all stood on their feet and bowed their heads. “all hailed the alpha king," they repeated it three times before seating down. After they were done with that, the rest of the concubines walked into the hall in their royal regalia and were accompanied by their maidservants. My eyes went straight to Lorena as she walked in with a smile on her face. Her dress was glittering gold and it gave her the royal look that she deserved. Her smile was enoug to light up the whole room and her red hair was amazing straightened to her shoulder length. When she smiled again, she looked towards me.

I'smiled back at her and was enjoying my smile until Draca decided that it was time to ruin all the fun. “look at you smiling like a little kid," he laughed and tutted. “I must say that you are drowning in love and that is pathetic,” he said.

“what is pathetic in admiring my mate huh?" I asked him. I hate to admit it but he had been getting on my nerves recently and it made my blood boil but I wasn't ready to loosen to him in an argument. “if you have a problem with her then say it rather than acting like a maniac," I told him and he huffed in response without saying anything else.

Finally, I thought and heaved a deep sigh.

“We are here again and towards the end of the competition,” Paul announced as he made his way into the royal hall. “today we are gathered to test the manners and behaviors of the concubines to see who would reach the finals,” Paul announced and pointed to the remaining girls. “we started with six of them and now, we are down to three. Today's contest would resul in only two of them remaining so look forward to it,” Paul said and cleared his throat. “your highness" he bowed. “may I begin?” he requested.

I gave him a hand gesture and he nodded in response. “let the concubines say their names again for everyone present here to hear. A short introduction please,” he pointed to Danielle.

“Thank you, royal announcer," Danielle flashed him a flirtatious smile that made me stare at her as if she had lost her mind. Her dad lost her mind and I found her attitude annoying.

“But you enjoy her attitude on the bed,” Draca chuckled.

“Get out of my head,” I warned him and he continued laughing as if he didn't hear me. "crazy demon!”

Danielle began her introduction by moving forward. She bowed her head and her cleavage was on full display as she lowere her head. “my name is Danielle, a human who would like to become the noble consort if I am given the chance; she smiled and waved her hands to the lords. "I could be great and ....." Paul cut her off before she could continue and I was grateful that he did that because I was fed up with listening to her talk. And besides that, I had given Paul a warning about flirting with the concubines.

“next concubine should introduce herself,” Paul pointed to the girl at the center. I couldn't remember her name and could only identify her by her golden locks.

“My name is Hallie," the girl said shyly and looked towards me smiling brightly. “serving the king and the people is my goal," she bowed. “I am glad to be here and most certainly happy to be among the top three,” she said and lowered her head agar “great introduction,” Paul said and smiled at her. “over to the last concubine,” he pointed to Lorena.

“Thank you,” Lorena lifted her dress and moved forward. She dropped her dress and looked towards me. “your highness,” she bowed her head. “it's a pleasure to be here and I must say that it is also an honor. My name is Lorena and I am a human who Is planning on changing the world,” she said and lowered her head.

The lords except for Alistair burst into laughter probably because Lorena made mention of saving the world.

“how could she even save the world when you almost ruined everything for the Luna queen,” lord Jared scoffed and folded his arms.

“I doubt she will pass this test because someone like her would never do anything great. Isn't she just a substitute for the Luna queen huh?” lord Han asked the other lords. “why does she think that she can save the world?”

“maybe sleeping with the king has given her ideas that she could save the world,” lord Tyler burst into laughter thereby infuriating all the anger built up inside of me. even Monster was fuming with anger when he saw how they were laughing at his mate.

“I must say that you've gone crazy if you believe that this human right here can't save the world!” I stood up from my chair and headed towards them. “Lord Jared,” I called his name as I stood in front of him. He jumped to his feet and shakily bowe: his head.

“your highness,” he said.

“if you are mad about your daughter's foolishness then go meet her and scold her. She deserved everything that is going on with her. If she refuses to change, then I shall make life a big hell for her," told him and tapped him on the shoulder. “if you daughter tries the stupid stunt again,” I drew closer to where his ear was. “if she tries to act like a crazy person then I shall show her that I could be much crazier," I told him and grinned when I was, I staring at him.

“you sounded like me right now," Draca shouted and burst into laughter.

“Maybe I need this on your side at the moment,” I told him finally agreeing to something together with him. “maybe I need be you right now, I chuckled. “lord Han," said out loud as I stood in front of him. “you have a problem with the human whe wants to save the world huh?" I asked him and just like lord Han, he stood up and lowered his head. I lifted his head and grabbed his shoulder tight pressing on it as if I wanted to break it. “a noble consort might be a substitute for the Luna queer but that gives you no right to say it out loud,” I told him.

“y..your highness,” he groaned in pain but I ignored him and pressed his shoulders tighter ignoring his cry for him." I didn't mean anything that I said” he tried to explain himself.

“I don't think you said that because you didn't mean it. You met what you said when you said it," I told him and let go of his shoulder. “the next time you say something like this, I will make sure you regret it," I warned him and pushed him to the chair.

Walking to the last lord who said something bad about Tyler, I grinned at him. He tried to stand up but I pinned him back to the chair. “say anything bad about my concubines again and I shall make sure I cut off your testicles!” I pushed his head backward. “you will regret ever trying to sound wise," I warned him and let go of his head. “To the rest of you, I do not want to hear any words about any concubines from you all ever again,” I warned them and they all nodded in response. “let's get to it,” I cleared my throat, and beckoned to Paul to continue. I flashed a smiled at Lorena and smiled back at me.

“This is a love story,” Draca sang.

“That is promising,’ Monster joined.

“shut up both of you,” I shouted at them and palmed my forehead.
